Could Kenny be working on something HUGE?
evilzyme replied to Manny>Ozzie(by a long shot)'s topic in General
No. He won't. He also stated that it is very unlikely anything happens today. -
Crosby left the game after puck to the face
evilzyme replied to nyqvististhefuture's topic in General
True, he got a titanium plate place along his jaw (iirc from the article). It will make his recovery around 4-6 weeks they said but he would be ready for the playoffs? They're hoping for 4 weeks and he'll be ready for the playoffs. -
Tom Kostopoulos is gonna wake up with a headache today

Matt Martin showing some real class and fighting etiquette there immediately calling for the trainer and backing his secondary punch off. -
Once again, another thread that could easily be added to the TRADE DEADLINE thread. Just sayin', there's bound to be MANY trades, keep them from flooding the main section of the general discussion. Not that hard folks. With that being said, good job by the Rags.
-
I'm almost positive the Trade deadline thread exists for a reason. We should start using it instead of clogging up the general discussion thread with a million trade threads.

The biggest problem with Jagr isn't his skill, or his age. Obviously he can still perform at his age, as he is producing currently. The biggest problem with Jagr is that he chases the pay-check and is willing to abandon a team in order to go somewhere offering a bigger paycheck. We aren't a Jagr piece away from a cup, and he's a rental; Why would we want to give up potentially two pieces of our future plus a first round pick for a simple rental? Hell, look if we don't make the playoffs. That would basically be Jagr playing for what ~12 games for 2 prospects and a 1st?
-
He wouldn't be worth it AT ALL. He's on a 1 year contract at 4.5mil making him a rental. Is he good? Absolutely, but look at his trajectory when it comes to contracts. HE LIKES THE MONEY! There is zero percent chance he would re-sign with this team because we aren't going to give him an outrageous contract that he would want to get. So, why would we ever trade some of our future for simply Jagr for the next what 10 games? That's a no-brainer NO for this franchise.

Does anyone know which wallpaper to use when using an Android phone with the filp screens? I mean, where you have like "5" front pages and can scroll to the left or right to see them. When I try using the normal Android wallpaper (as I normally do), it tries and gets me to crop the picture, which it never has before. So, I come to you LGW techies, help me get this working and looking beautiful.

Realistically, what do you think Pasha would ask if he did sign another?

Trade Huskins to Flyers for conditional 7th rd pick (2014)
evilzyme replied to nyqvististhefuture's topic in General
While checking out all the rumors of Philly going after Jagr, Bouw, and Clowe, I had fell upon this article. Including in it was a quote from Huskins after his first game with the Flyers. This quote had caught me a bit off guard and made me giggle, so I thought i'd share it. Must be outstanding days in Philly right about now looking in from the outside, you know. -
I believe they max out at 3 years. Correct me if i'm wrong, but I had thought age could play in ELC's, and due to DeKeyser being 23 when he signed his, his may be maxed at 2? Did some research and yes, that is correct:
-
Seems like we may get a look at DeKeyser come Thursday: Babcock had hinted that he will be playing, but it'll be between Quincey and DeKeyser. That is, if Quincey can actually play. Carlo is also in tonight, paired with Smitty.
-
Babcock and Holland said it was strictly to allow DeKeyser to sign his ELC. Once the 23 man roster limit goes away on Wednesday he'll be right back with the club.
-
Exactly what I was thinking. Chicago may make him go condition black. Colorado may have speed, but he's used to speedy college kids. I would be much more comfortable with him in his first game infront of the home crowd against Colorado. He's going to be nervous, anxious, first game playing for his childhood team, infront of his home crowd. Sure, he's played at the Joe for the CCHA, but it doesn't equate to playing in the Winged Wheel infront of a Red Wings crowd.
-
Also, does this mean LeftWinger can come back? I feel like he just didn't want to show up anymore until #DeKeyserWatch was over.
-
Most likely will be in Monday.
-
A lot of nice things to say about Danny from Corey Pronman:
-
I'm not sure he'll play against Chicago immediately on Sunday, but I can see him in the lineup Monday against Colorado. If he has a good game and shows he has potential within his limitations in the big show, it would enable Holland to make a push for a forward. It would give us the one chance to see how he plays in the big show before the trade deadline.
-
Telling you, me and kipwinger were on to something when we suggested the more time passed, the more certain it meant he was waiting for the team to land. The announcement came as the Wings landed in DTW. Coincidence? Possibly, but that is one hell of a coincidence. He's magically 4 hours and 36 minutes late from his deadline, as Wings arrive at 4:37pm est in DTW.

I would purposely sign with the team just so they would have to watch me every night and imagine it was them. #toobadsosad

It was SportsNet that was reporting the noon deadline, and they got the information from Don Meehan himself. They actually quoted him and used his name in the report. The tweet is on a few pages back
