i really think emmerton will be picked up , hes young and alot of teams will think ... well hell he got drafted from the redwings could be something there why not , what do teams like columbus and islanders etc.. have to lose? as for eaves i think your right he will probably be ready and i like him but i dont know if there will be any room -

man that would just be to big a price to pay , it would probably have to be something like a 1st, nyquist,tatar and abdelkader?? and especially seeing as they both have 1 year each left f that ! plus i may be niave but i really like our prospects pool , especially the top 11 on redwingscentral ... only thing id consider moving for the RIGHT deal would be like pulkkinenn and tatar -

i wish shane doan came here , ive wanted doan and chris neil here for the longest of time just have this feeling doan doesnt like the redwings for some reason 2 yrs at 4.5 and 3.5 2nd season for a 4 mill cap hit thats as high as i would go hes gonna be 36 in october

but do you think wed trade quincey after giving up a first? i do think he struggled but im willing to give quincey a full season i think hes got what it takes to be a solid defensemen here , its too early to give up on him -

in the article it said ken holland would also guarantee him a roster spot to start the season in detroit ( if i had to guess a 10-20 game trial) That to me would mean ian white in my eyes would be the odd man out if we landed suter we just traded a 1st for quincey so he will play , just locked up ericsson for 3 yrs hes in the top 6 , brendan smiths coming up not to be a 7th defensemen + kronwall , maybe theyd rotate white and ericsson/quincey around for the first 10-20 games but i see white as the odd man out( whos also the shortest defensemen on the team ) suter quincey kronwall ericsson smith schultz -
agreed hes slow and aging which is why i would only take him for a 1 yr deal .... but he would REALLY help our penalty killing and id pair him with brendan smith so gill can stay back and smith can sometimes go in on the rush

yup i think he can be had for a one yr deal , big body experienced player and cup winner,kills penalties and blocks shots , has a long reach ... whats not to like ??? one year deal isnt a big risk if you ask me , were gonna need someone to block shots now that stuarts gone

i really think we should trade him now while we can get somethin decent i think were gonna be really dissapointed this season and realize he only had a good year because of lidstrom he was +23 this season and prior to that never went in the double digits in the last 3 seasons he played for 5 teams I would much rather take a chance on like justin schultz and give him a guaranteed spot to start the season ... give him a 20 game trial at the least instead of risking losing him to another team who will guarantee him a spot , hes suppose to be a cant miss where as white i think will be gone after next year .... even if we cant land schultz id still trade white , hes highly overrated in my eyes
