you bank on Mrazek being the saviour of the wings because he has played good in one year at the AHL level, but Jimmy who has proved to be able to put up numbers every year along side the best of the best is just a good/average goalie... but carey price is a much better goalie because he is 3 years younger?

Excuse my confusion, but Carey Price who has played a total of 5 NHL seasons coming into this season, and has played much worse in the playoffs than howie, is still young and will be a future star, but jimmy howard who has played 3 seasons is a failure, because he hasn't won a cup? ya, I'm using my head and not my heart here, and my head is telling me you're crazy...

there are only 3 goalies in the league that have faced as many shots as howie or more, that have put up better numbers than him. lundqvist, dubnyk, and niemi have better sv%. Rinne, lundqvist, and niemi have better gaa. Miller, Pavelec, Bryzgalov, nabakov and varlamov all have faced more shots then any of them and have put up lower numbers. So technically, there are only 3-4 goalies who currently have proved they are better then jimmy while receiving the same kind of attention in net. Although i don't if i would include Rinne as much becasue he has played 4 more games then any of those goalies, so he doesn't face the same amount of shots per game

I will re-iterate what everyone else has said, last year there wasn't a very good prospect pool to choose from, so there was a desperate need to hold on to our 1st round draft pick. This year there is a very deep prospect pool for the draft, that first round pick could potentially garner us a superstar, so Kenny is not trading it away

ya well opinions are like assholes, everyone has one, but not everyone wants to hear from them j/k I honestly think yandle would be a great addition to our team if we could acquire him for the right price. I would give up a second round pick and a couple prospects for yandle

Ya, he should go to Toronto or something. We definitely do not need Miller, with Howard playing like a boss, and M-Raz a few short years away from being able to take the reigns our goalie situation is pretty good, much deeper then most

yes, Datsyuk said himself he liked playing with cleary and abby cause they opened up space for him. Franzen can't get whatever he wants because he doesn't do enough for this team, whereas Pasha is a superstar, so he is allowed to choose the two players on his wing. Why do you think Bert has been on his wing the past couple seasons even when he isn't producing much. It is no coincidence he has Bertuzzi and Franzen on his wings regularly he likes having big guys out there. Abby and cleary were his best options available to him for that.

I would rather us get him, then st. louis. St. Louis already is potentially the most dangerous team in the west, but are underperforming. adding someone like jbo could really spark them back to last years form... which is quite scary to think of

If Stamkos was a rookie for the wings, everyone would have been calling for Hollands head, 46 points for a 1st overall pick, that is just unacceptable...

he has more goals and points then Franzen and Filppula, 4th most points on the team, and all that for 1.35 million... I will take it.
