    Looking ahead at expansion draft

He hasn't go check on your info. Not even going to read the rest of the post since the first part of it is false. Played 3rd line combos all the way until January actually. Didn't get top 6 until Tatar got demoted from Zetterbergs line and Nyquist got promoted.
  2. Hah, if it were Mrazek you would be raving about how he got selected to Olympic team. And obviously he's remembered for being on it because we're talking about it and it sounds like you have good memory (perfect actually) that he was the 3rd started for the team!
  3. Ahh the 2013 will in the season/playoffs by Zetterberg was a great one. Unfortunately this year it's too steep a ladder to climb due to incompetency from too many people involved.
  4. 5/10 for captaincy. “He is probably one of the best competitors I’ve ever been around in my life,” Blashill said. “His competitive desire is unreal. It’s not an outwardly competitiveness where he is real emotional -- it’s just his ability to grind. “I believe we will make the playoffs because of Henrik Zetterberg.” http://www.freep.com/story/sports/nhl/red-wings/2017/03/03/detroit-red-wings-jeff-blashill/98700184/

What is the most "overrated thing" in hockey?

Changed Jack Eichel to "Grit and Toughness" in the poll
  6. He didnt blow the 3-1 lead lol the entire team did and Chicago turned into a beast of a team. Yeah all star game. And yeah third string for Olympics. You do realize what the honor means to even be part of an olympics team right? I know you're old enough to know that. How many goalies do you know can say that?
  7. Redeemed himself probably in the 2013 stretch to make the playoffs and the actual 2013 playoffs themselves. Then the stretch in 2015, then the all star nomination, then the olympic nomination. You know stuff that was more than 15 games. See chaps, you have bias against Howard and make sarcastic posts like you just did (15 games really?) but when others do the same for Mrazek all of a sudden it becomes a problem. tsk tsk. Until you can meet halfway and recognize Howard was a decent goalie (he was), you're going to have to keep dealing with the fellow (and many others) who post against Mrazek. Because the point is, you overrated Mrazek and underrate Howard. Instead of well, actually judging both goalies fairly.
  8. Well I mean, it used to be Howards fault. Wingfan just seems to be returning the favor.
  9. Your favorite moment was Brock Lesnar grabbing his crotch? You're one strange troll.
  10. Every loss we have, this post makes me laugh and cheer up.
  11. That was the most hilarious thing I've ever seen. All the speed on Helm and zero stamina to show for it
  12. Lol Helm has no stamina, needs a lesson from Zetterberg
  13. Lmfao Zetterberg passing to Mrazek like he's a 4th guy out there
  14. Gotta get Nolan Patrick right?

What is the most "overrated thing" in hockey?

Agreed, I voted Toews for the same exact thing. Good player but not the best. Treated as though he is because 3 cups must mean you're that good. Apparently when it comes to Toews, hockey no longer is a team sport but an individual one. All hail Jonathan Toews. I also think Don Cherry is overrated. He acts like he's an expert analyst but to be honest Mickey Redmond >>>>>>>>>>> Don Cherry. Fair opinions, but why?

What is the most "overrated thing" in hockey?

I added "Other" as an option for non-important things such as Brenden Smith.

What is the most "overrated thing" in hockey?

Kipwinger would disagree and I had to include members' popular opinions

Shea Weber for Pernal Karl Subban

Pk Subban is a 100 times better person and player than Weber

    2017 NHLTrade Deadline Discussion

He's Bill Berzeench. You know this Dickie.
  20. Agreed. But with the way things have been Holland is definitely better at negotiating than the current guy with the Red Hat in DC. Players dont want to lose and playing to win. Blame the captain.
  21. Chicago paid for Jurco because they thought he has potential and is young with an upside. Vanek is an older guy who has been hopping around teams with a dwindling NHL career and terrible playoff experience. Holland said he did the best he could in the Vanek deal, which means nobody wanted Vanek for anything better. I cannot believe you're actually blaming Holland because other teams didn't want to pay more for him.
  22. The difference between a Winger and Center has become very slim in the modern hockey era. Centers and Wingers play basically the same game now. The only real difference is basically taking faceoffs. Both Wingers and Centers carry the puck through the zone now, both can slide down on the backcheck early (used to be the Centers responsiblity primarily). With all the speed in the game, it doesn't natter who does what as long as they can get to the puck and do something with it. Cherry picking wingers rarely exist now, everyone is expected to utilize full ice (something only centers really did)
  23. - Fight Night at the Joe - Turned the entire tide of the franchise. Thank you Darren McCarty, your assbeating brought the team and fan base together like never seen before. - Game 4 of 97 finals - Game 4 of 98 finals - Game 5 of 02 finals - Game 6 of 08 finals - The Euro-Twin era. My god were they fun to watch together 2003-2016. Best chemistry I've seen in hockey to date specifically in their prime years. - Everything Sergei Fedorov did - Every time I saw #19 on ice, most fluid player I've ever seen play. And those we're my countless best moments of "The Streak" every minute of the above list was beautiful.
