I agree 2008 team better than 2002 team. 2008 Datsyuk and Zetterberg would have skated circles around 2002 version of Yzerman, Fedorov and Shanahan. -

Why are people upset? These losses are good. We’re officially picking #5. Just last week we were picking #8 or something. These games are bringing me nothing but joy. Odds at Dahllin is literally increasing with each game. With Vancouvers next win; were upto #4. 7 points out of being #1 overall. Closest tank in years. The battle of the bottom feeders is intense this year. -

Pure speculation. I’ve heard that 1st rounders were traded moreso simply because the Western conference playoff race was so tight. How strong a draft is doesn’t necessarily have anything to do with how many deadline transactions there are. I think the last time these many 1st rounders were traded was 2008; same draft year that included Steven Stamkos, Doughty, Eberle, Erik Karlsson, Bailey, Pieterangelo, Del Zotto, Gardenier.
