f***. The tweet didn't load and you got me excited thinking it was a move we made.

Go Canes!
-
I mean Banned4life did predict this would happen lol.

Thought you meant catching up in overall scoring. Like points. Goals probably not. Feds has 954 points for the Wings though.

Easily. And some people still don’t want his number retired. What a joke.

Mrazek traded to Philly for Conditional 3rd and 4th Picks
kickazz replied to hankzet40's topic in General
I liked Jimmy's performance better than Mrazek's in the last 1.5 years or so. Felt like he was the better overall goalie. But I have no attachments to Jimmy Howard. If he's traded for a future draft pick then by all means do it. The only attachment I've created with the team are guys like Steve Yzerman, Sergei Fedorov, Henrik Zetterberg and to a lesser extent Pavel Datsyuk (he kind of bailed on us so I'm not a fan of that aspect). And it's not because they're amazing hockey players, it's because I appreciate the joy they brought for my community. (I'm a Michigander). They were role models. -

First bold: Because I care about you. All the non-bolded stuff: Don't get so mad over Mrazek dude. He's gone. This is like a really hard break up for you I feel like. As far as Jimmy. f*** em. Trade him tomorrow and get all the picks we can. -

@chaps80 still drooling over Mrazek? It’s over bro. He doesn’t care about you and he’s not your Red Wing anymore. It is a stupid thing. It’s also immature. -

I dont have to, I’m rich and have a solid 401k. -
Right and now that we're losing the 4th guy, let him walk? Why re-sign him? It recreates the problem of having 4 vets doesn't it? Well we won't be competing even with Green's new contract... Just another $5 million to lock in a guy for 3-4 years? Maybe more knowing Holland. At least Daley was cheap and it was a short contract. Green will be expensive and we don't know how long another contract would be. Looking to bring Hronek, Hicketts, Cholo, and "new guy" into the system here within the next 2-3 years. Draper has said (and Holland recently backed it up) that they want these young guys coming through faster into the system. I liked the Daley signing; thought it was short, cheap, no big deal. Plus I thought Sproul wasn't even good so I wasn't worried about his spot being given away. But with Cholo, Hronek looking to be promising; that's a different story. Mike Green is good, can stay for $3-4 million for 2 years if he wants to. Anything more is probably not good. But it's not going to happen. He's a FA and he'll get $5 million at least. I say 2 years max because I believe that's most likely how long it will take for the younger guys to become NHL ready.

Except he is since he is historically a PP specialist. I can tell that may have not watched Daley as a player in the past. https://www.defendingbigd.com/2014/12/27/7455895/trevor-daley-jumps-to-nhl-lead-in-power-play-goals-scored-by-defensemen Only reason he hasn't played as much on PP with the Wings (first time in his career) is because we give the minutes to Mike Green and Kronwall. Otherwise almost every year, he has played on the PP for a team.

Dude you lost your bet

You’re too easy bruh So does NFL, MLB, NBA. What’s your point?

What is the upper bowl? Lower bowl seats have a lot more space than Joe Louis did. Agreed about people in the concourse but I still think a lot less people at the games compared to previous years. It will change when Wings get good again. Also the arena attracts a lot of white collar folks who use it as a place to meet their friends and coworkers and buy cocktails and have viewing parties and all that jazz.

Petr Mrazek to the conference finals. God, Jesus, Yahweh, Allah, Buddah, Shiva/Vishnu, , Ahura Mazda, Confucius, Harambe, Trump and any other diety I may have missed, please make it happen. -
Not a good argument to compare a team full of PP specialists (Letang, Shults, Streit). We have none of those guys. So when Green leaves, Daley's PP time goes up. Green averages 2:26 on PP. Daley Averaged 1:38 last year (on stacked Pittsburgh team), 1:51 the year before, 2:02 the year before that. Which means he's more than capable of quarterbacking the PP. ...Which means his resume has PP specialist on it.... ...which is my point... ------------- Beyond all this my point was that last year people bitched about the Daley signing "because he'll take a spot from one of the young D-men" and now that we might actually take a veteran off the books people don't care about the same young D anymore? Sounds kind of hypocritical. Especially because Mike Green is way more expensive than Daley was.
-
Clearly said he's right behind Green in time played and gets 1/2 D minutes. If Green is 1D then by that math he's 2D. Regardless, 22 min. Not like he's some 29-30 min guy. 22 vs 20, those 2 minutes will likely end up getting distrubuted to DK and someone else. Not like they need to distribute some 10 minutes or something. So.. I'm right? Green leaves and Daley would get more PP time?

We all need to be cheering for him and the Flyers.
