Larkin could have easily have costed us the game last night. That applies to the game prior also which is alarming if it becomes a trend, need to keep tabs on that. He is losing puckbattles and resorts to violations in an attempt to repair it after the fact. With that said I believe that he'll sort it out. Let's give it a few more games before drawing any conclusions. Just wanted to mention as it seems as a legitimate concern, but a minor one for now.

If he was on this team in his prime (heresy yes I know, don't give a s***) it is my clear belief that he'd get us into the playoffs automatically for 3-4 years despite this defense in front of him. About time god damn it. Your thoughts on his placement sounds about right in my opinion. Well Zetterberg would fit the bill although his playmaking ability is what really makes him. Makes me smile inside to see how well he's playing still. With that said I don't facebook, I'm elusive on Linkedin but I take my time to check daily on the Athanasiou story, the point of your post. Need that spoiled brat here right now. He won't save us but he will make this team faster which will make all opposing teams much more uncomfortable in the mid zone and hopefully altering their defensive schemes.

Good luck to us, should be an interesting game, if only because the Leafs are playing back-to-back. If we play it right we should have a chance to steal this one if goaltending and Zetterberg rights all the wrongs.

Comparing to last season I thought we looked better against Tampa. We evened it up nicely and had a punchers chance, I can't complain too much. Judging by the past six games I'd say we look decent, til Howard or Zetterberg goes down. Once that happens the earth will unravel and.. You fill in the rest.

We got off to a superb start and as far as I know both Zetterberg and Howard are healthy so we should be able to put up a good fight. I am really looking forward to watching the game tomorrow (time zone lag). With that said I got 50 bucks on the Bolts.
