...and he'll probably pick Calgary then.

...do you honestly think Holland will go after anyone? IMO if he wants back in the playoffs he should. But we have to shed some cap.

    2017 Draft

Every article I read says the same thing basically. I know here at LGW we like to berate Holland, but I've never read so many negative reviews... I am so disappointed. Nothing we can do, even firing him won't change what happened, so I guess we cross our fingers for a diamond to come out...dammit.

We do have a lot going for us, despite my negativity ( ) we are young, have young stars in the making, a new building, an owner with bottomless pockets plus we have to fill 4 forward positions from somewhere. There's a chance we win this sweepstakes here.

    2017 Draft

Absolutely! Hopefully it's one of those drafts that 8 other teams look back on and say, damn, shouldve take Rasmussen.

    2017 Draft

When we look back at past drafts and say, man if we only knew...well this is going to be one of those drafts, but the difference is, we all knew Tippett or Vilardi wouldve been the correct choice. The no brainer.

    2017 Draft

We'll, one thing is sure, they went for big kids. Still sour at the #9, but cant say I know too much about the rest, so we'll just hope we get 3 or 4 winners. I won't hold my breath on him making any deals this summer to better the team. If he does, he'll overpay.

Lol! Calder Trophy in his rookie year. Rocket Richard for most goals. Don't think those guys you listed will be winning rookie of the Year. Come back to reality.

It'll just put a knife in my side everytime Tippett scores a goal and wins awards. I'm gonna hate it that he's not ours...

I have no choice but the give Ras-ma-taz his chance. I hope he becomes a superstar. I'm just so over Holland...

Just not a good pick at #9. That's most of the disappointment.

    Off-season moves

It was a blown pick no matter what. Tippett will be a Rocket Richard winner and raspberryputin will score 12 goals, 11 on the pp with 1 open net.

Ok, I'd splash him, then turn around and splash him again. And if i made him coffee, I'd use toilet water...

But Nyquist is God. We have raspenstein now, he can stand in front of the net on the powerplay.

    2017 Draft

Losers Red Wings Maybe Michael Rasmussen ends up becoming the dream power forward the Red Wings are hoping he’ll be after selecting him with the No. 9 overall pick. But there are massive red flags in Rasmussen’s production at the junior level that beg questions about picking him in the top 10 with guys like Gabriel Vilardi and Owen Tippett still on the board. Rasmussen recorded 55 points in 50 games with the WHL’s Tri-City Americans, but 29 of his points came on the power play. Just 24 of his points came at even strength, and even fewer at 5-on-5, which isn’t a good sign for his ability to translate production to the NHL level. There’s a ton to like about Rasmussen’s game as a 6’6 forward who’s comfortable with the puck, solid defensively, and knows how to use his size to win puck battles. Bob McKenzie ranked him No. 9 in the class, so it’s not like it’s a pick totally out of left field. But it’s hard to get over the lack of even strength production in the WHL from a top-10 pick, particularly given the other talent still available.

Now you know Holland would never trade a loyal player. But I'm sure Holland would still bypass him even if they swapped. Two years now, he has shown he has no idea... Maybe someone could Photoshop Holland's head on the infamous kathy Griffin photo...now thatd be funny. Id make that my avatar.

Meh, not much you can do if someone gets him before you have a chance to pass him up...

That's way off. Obviously you didn't have a mother who cared about you or Brest fed you until 12. You have mom issues buddy, take that with you to Amsterdam, I hear they'll take care of those urges. Joke is over. Trust me. You mean Holland.

    2017 Draft

I actually have no issue with these 3rd and later picks, that's what they're for. But the 1st and 2nd are unacceptable.
