Shoulder to shoulder, feet on the ice. No need for any further action. -

Who's Drew King? Is he worth keeping? -
While were trading young stars for vets like Larkin for Crosby, we may as well trade Adam Oates and Paul Maclean for Bernie Federko and Tony McKegney that'll work out great and bring us tons of Cups!
-
Funny thing is, I bet if we still had our former coach, Larkin would be in GR.

It's time for Z to just lead and play a secondary role. He has Larkin now to put the puck in the net. This is much like Yzerman in his older years. He gave up the goal scoring to other and focused on setups and D. He was still a threat on the ice as well. You see that Larkin is leading the team in goals now. -

I see EDM is at the bottom of the West....AGAIN! Sheesh! WTF is happening out there? I know McNHL is injured, but he wasn't going to carry the entire team...was he? How about we entertain the idea that we can package Jimmy in a deal (if he'd waive) for Hall? They need something to turn that franchise around! Send them Howard, Kindl and Sproul. -
Bill says as long as we are keeping Miller, we can waive Larkin for all he cares!
-
Larkin for nobody. I'd rather have 4-5 more Cups in the next 20 years instead of one in the next 2.

GDT 11/25 GDT : Boston Bruins at Red Wings, 7:30 EST

seats are sold, mostly to businesses and the people just don't use the tickets. So it is sold out, but the attendance is not 20,100. They used to announce the attendance every game, now they just say its a sell out. -
the A is a complete different monster. Everytime Pulk went down last season it seemed like he scored 100 goals, then up here he had a hard time bringing that with him. Jurco will be the same. Right now he is too good for the A, and scoring at will, but when he comes back, even with Larkin type minutes, it just won't translate...i hope I'm wrong though.

Landon Ferraro will score a goal tonight while being defended by Drew Miller. -
Wow, with a trade package like Mrazk, Mantha and Svechnikov, the title of this thread should be "What will it take to get Suter?" Ok, as long as we are talking like that, try this out.... You trade Howard in a package to acquire Byfuglien, then sign Emery to back up Mrazek through the rest of the season, in July you bring home Miller for a modest salary to be Mraz's permanent B/U for a couple of years... Of course you then re-sign Drew so they can play together. Get it done!

well, unfortunately no matter what we do, we will only have room for 3 of the 4 kids if we are adding a top unit player because we will have Kronner, DD and green all under contract. Plus if we cannot dump E, then we'd only have room for 2 in this same example...its gonna be tight next summer...i am nervous for my boy Jensen.
-
Wow, Nyquist? If you're throwing E in there, shouldn't have to include Nyquist. Howard, E, Helm, Sproul...
-
Well, thus far he has an assist in his Boston debut...
-
Hmmmmmm, I thouht he was a Michigan kid....oh well, Windsor, close enough!
-
Now is the time to sweetin a deal for Byfuglien.... http://www.tsn.ca/winnipeg-inadequate-goaltending-hurts-jets-grade-1.398534 http://www.tsn.ca/jets-pavelec-out-until-january-at-earliest-1.398538 Offer up Howard, Helm, Smith (or Kindl) & Dman prospect....done!
-
Yes, he is from Michigan. But he would cost a ton to sign, that's for sure!
-
So in two years time, you keep Erection and let all of Jensen, Sproul and XO get claimed on the waiver? I realize you are just fantasizing, about have Ekblad, but you may want to shed E's salary in order to fit Ekblad in. DD-Ekblad Kronwall-Green XO-Marchy Jensen

his WIFE'S hometown...Suter is from Wisconsin.

Bottom line guys, it always stinks to lose someone for nothing...but think of it this way we lost Ferraro and gained Larkin. Jurco is projected to be a higher end player, so I understand keeping him. When it comes to Miller or Andy, its obvious Holland and his coaches feel when it comes to 4th liners those two are the better option. Its not like Holland is beyond waiving vets (Cleary) so I am sure he considered all options. He may have even told Ferraro that he is doing it in HOPES that a team claims him to give him the chance he deserves. Its not like the organization didn't want him, but just ran out of room. This was doing Ferraro a favor to further his NHL career. (that being said, I am sure glad we didn't lose him for nothing to protect Franzen! ) Good luck Landon! Prove to the world that you belong!
-
Hmmm....in place of Jurco coming back soon, I wonder? Crossing fingers he clears, he will be a nice replacement on the 4th line soon. Guess Andy beat him out for that 13th spot.

Exactly, when the current Cap's are all gone I believe the ones that take over are: Larkin - C Abby - A Dekeyser - A That's my opinion only, but it will be hard to argue that Captain lineup...Plus all players from the Great State of Michigan makes it even better!
