Marchand Fined $10,000 For Kronwall Slew Foot
AtlantaHotWings replied to ChristopherReevesLegs's topic in General
Rather than fines whack their pee pees...with a Xlb hammer dependent on the offense. That would slow things down a tad on the cheap shots -
Rank the top five worst players on this team

Perhaps Jason Williams as the 5th entry into the Red Wings Hall of Suck -
Interesting l believe they showed a stat that Toronto had 10 rookies on the roster PLAYING EVERY NIGHT. So maybe this concept of overripe in GR is sooo stuck in Kenny's head he wont part with the vets? If Mike "tie goes to the vet" Babcock is playing that many rookies something is the air not to mention they absolutely crushed us at home. Man I remember when Wings at home was pretty much a victory or minimally a "give a sheet moment" I don't know if it's lack of talent, a splintered locker room, coach over his head, but geeze Louise they seem to skate in quicksand. Regretting paying serious money to come back for next Friday's game but at least I have Bronners to look forward to on Saturday!

He is the second coming of Scott Stevens!

Why not put a new thread out here could be making the playoffs or FINALLY we get a great pick thread. http://www.hockey-reference.com/friv/playoff_prob.cgi and another happy source...if you are looking for a pick. http://www.sportsclubstats.com/NHL/Eastern/Atlantic/Detroit.html based on above they must win at least 25 of the next 44 to have a realistic shot.

Percent chance of Playoffs or Potential High Pick
AtlantaHotWings replied to AtlantaHotWings's topic in General
Cause I am bored at lunch once again taking Boston as the highest game count(50) and bring everyone even and assuming regulation wins. Lets see where we is and keeping things even i.e everyone winning in regulation. I am actually shocked we are still in the hunt for 8th by 3 points. I think our ONLY hope is 8th but get back 2 or 3 of the crap in November/December and we would still be sweating on playoffs but not as much. What does Kenny do if we are sitting 3 or less at the trade deadline Games to Match Boston Pts Montreal +2 games 67 Ottawa +5 games 65 Toronto +5 games 63 NY +2 games 67 NYI +5 games 57 ============================================= Philly +2 games 56 Buffalo +4 games 55 Carolina +3 games 55 Detroit +3 games 54 NJ +2 games 53 Boston 50 games played endpoint 52 Fl +1 game 52 Tampa +2 games 51 I am of the mind I am going to keep enjoying the roller coaster that this season has been. The next 4 games are basically all 4 pointers Boston, Toronto, NJ, NYI so shall see where we be then. -
Perhaps Blash told Holland to keep Jurco so he(blash) would have a whupping boy? Oh wait that's AA's job. I think the Miller on waiver wire is the sounding of USS RedWing FINALLY making the turn to youth vs old vets. Granted too late for this year but raises hopes going into the new arena next.

Someone look at the last 3 weeks of new members on the forum bet one is Blash.....baahaa
-
Did Blash become a member here and listen to the gripping? XO and Jenson on the 3rd pair again last night. Just sayin we might have what we have been asking for with letting the youth play
-
I did hence the statement I ran everyones games played to Boston's 47 with the assumption everyone won in regulation. IMHO its easier to calculate where you sit if you simply take the team with the most GP and match everyone to them and assume wins. Just my way So for grins lets take Boston's 47 games played as the mark for everyone in the Atlantic and assume everyone wins their games in regulation
-
Sorry Dickie its even worse as the 8th spot has 2 games in hand on the Wings so the 8th spot is potentially 54 points so the Wings are actually 10 points out of the 8th spot. So for grins lets take Boston's 47 games played as the mark for everyone in the Atlantic and assume everyone wins their games in regulation Montreal 64 Toronto 60...yeah thats right...hell has frozen Babs is worth the $$ Ottawa 60 =====================wild card space ============= NY 61 Carolina 55 =============================================== Philly 52 NYI 52 Boston 51 Fl 50 Detroit 50 Buffalo 49 NJ 49 Tampa 49 Wings are still 5 points out of the hunt. Been a looooooooooong time since we have seen what the bottom of the barrel looks like. Plus we have the doldrums of February coming up where historically the Wings nap.

1/16 GDT: Montreal Canadiens at Red Wings, 3:00 EST
AtlantaHotWings replied to Y19's topic in 2016-17
Why haven't they played like this since November? Mickey kept saying it was the most jump they have had all season the last 2 games. Maybe Blash is finally letting the kids make mistakes and da' kids aren't looking over their shoulder worrying about it ? I mean he had XO and Jenson out there paired in the 3rd I believe and no major damage which was interesting. I am guessing too little to late but who knows 800-Dial-Miracles is taking calls -
and clearing her throat.....1.3%!! http://www.sportsclubstats.com/NHL/Eastern/Atlantic/Detroit.html Any odds when Blash gets the call to not show up at the Joe?
-
We kinda are playing with an AHL roster. We have No identity No superstar/s in their prime like Hawks, Pens, Caps etc. We are going into the new barn limping and swaying like we got into a smackdown with Kocur. Kinda like when we went into the Joe hopefully the cup is raised quicker in the new barn as it took 18 years to happen @ The Joe as most of us are painfully aware.

1/5 GDT - Red Wings at Kings - 10:30 PM EST

Agreeing to this. Checked score before bed and it was 3 - 0 and figured would wake up to a 4-3 loss. Was VERY PLEASED. Now just need a Blue Jacket type streak to squeak into the playoffs...LOL -
0 - 1 so far.... 14 points remain to be gotten in the 8 game stretch ....can't believe I actually typed that with a straight face...

and I stayed at a Holiday Inn Express last night and decided that our new number one is Coreau as he has a .908 SV% and sits between our two "stud" goalies with a 2.94 GAA. Judgement is on his current sample size and "gut" feeling. He is big like every other goalie so we would be trending in net like all the other teams. I started this as a more tongue and cheek but what if Coreau starts blowing it up as in doing well right now? Does it give us hope for the future? Do we have more flexibility come the deadline? Guess I better stay again at the Holiday Inn tonight to ponder these questions.

After seeing Scotty and his assistants last night. I would see if they would take Babcock style money to run the team till the trade deadline and tell me who needs to get booted/kept. I would then take a position upgrade to VP or something similar and hire another GM. Then I have washed my hands of the issue and my "legacy" is still awesome. as far as contract redos if Luca isn't available let Kocur and Mac take care of the issue.

12/27 GDT : Sabres vs Red Wings : 7:30 PM ET
AtlantaHotWings replied to NerveDamage's topic in 2016-17
Should have dressed the 97 team last night and probably had a better chance at 2 points -
I am already thinking seeing the Wings in Vegas could be a lot of fun do some gambling catch a show and game. Almost as good as being downtown Detroit catching a show at the Fox, Greektown Casino, and a game.

I like that hit by Hicketts showing zero fear perhaps someone can show Big E that's how to hit. OR could we transfer Hicketts into Big E's body?
-
3 games this week and every game is a 4 pointer 3 Carolina - GP 31 Pts 33 4 Tampa - GP 32 Pts 33 5 Florida - GP 32 Pts 33 6 Detroit - GP 32 Pts 32 After tonight we are even with Boston in GP. Could be down 5( reg loss) or 4(loser point) or 3 (win) to them For as crappy as we have been playing its amazing we are still semi in the hunt. Woulda/Shoulda done more with the homestand.
-
duh it's reverse psychology like complimenting a goalie on a shutout jinxes him. Thanking the Wings for the past flips the karma switch and they make the playoffs. If the karma switch doesn't flip then it's still a nice thought. So win/win
-
If this is the rebirth of the Dead Wings era I sure hope the ticket prices begin to show that. I paid out the hind end for 2 tickets to the NYI game in Feb. The way things are going they will be giving away a car at that game so I have that possibility.
