    Solid two-way game. Hard, aggressive forecheck. Fast. Young. Captain. 30 goals on the offensively-challenged Devils; could hit 40 flanking Datsyuk. Gives his all on every shift of every game. He's like Helm with a scoring touch. I agree that some of the numbers from yesterday were reaching ridiculous levels. But the guy's a stud, and he'd provide some things we're sorely lacking in our top-6, no questions asked. Infinitely better than Semin.

    The Pens are coming off a monumental meltdown. They don't play D. MAF was shredded by the Flyers. Parise would be living in the shadows of Crosby and Malkin. He'd essentially be replacing J. Staal as the resident workhorse who does 80% of the forward unit's defensive work and gets no credit. And we can offer more $-wise. And I feel like I've said this 35,000 times now. Sorry for that. But for the life of me, I don't know why so many people seem to think the Pens are a near sure-thing.

    I think that's probably the issue for most. Signing Monster, Brunner, Tootoo, and Sammy is ok, with perhaps a large side order of meh. Signing Monster, Brunner, Tootoo, Sammy, Suter, and Parise/Nash/Ryan/etc.? That'd make Kenny a god.

    Parise is a goal-scorer. And he's better than Nash overall. Why does it seem like pratically no one around here knows anything about the guy? Not that I disagree with where you're coming from. Just sayin'.

    Parise's a better player overall. And he's no slouch in the goal-scoring department. Think, if he can score 30 goals on the Devils, what could he do with Dats feeding him the puck? I do like the idea of Nash, though.
