    Parise Likely Out. Next Options

9M-10M of what??? Based on what??? As someone said/wrote before, Doan + Semin > Parise. Let Huds walk, sign Schultz and Suter (if he's looking for 9M or more I say bye-bye to Suter). Kronwall - Schultz give him a chance with our best Quincey - White Smith - Ericsson ( I would trade "E" and sign Allen) Kindl Franzen - Dats - FA Flip - Z - Brunner Cleary - Helm - Bert Prust - FA - Miller/Eaves Abdelkader If we sign Doan, he goes on the 1st line w/ Dats and Brunner and Mule on the 2nd line. If there is any chance of trading Mule, Abdelkader and Kindl for Ryan and filler then do it...

    2012 NHL Entry Draft Discussion

I agree with you 1000% but in the same time, the best replacement for Lids (if there is any) is Kronwall... I'm wondering who is the better option for Kronwall, Suter or Weber? Suter is playing on the same L side as Kronwall... imo Weber is better fit for Kronwall.

So What's Up With Abby & Quincey?

$2M for Abby?!?!?! WTF?!?!?! Prust and/or Moen is UPGRADE for that money... BTW: Prust will be available and Moen could stay with HABS

Red Wings 2012 5th round selection- Mike McKee

I like this pick A LOT!!! http://bruins2011draftwatch.blogspot.ca/2010/08/2011-sleeper-alert-mike-mckee.html 2011 Sleeper alert: MIKE McKEE All of the big names generated the buzz at the NHL's Research and Development Camp this week (we're talking some Ryan 'full bluntal Nugity' Nugent-Hopkins here), but one kid who came in as a virtual unknown is now reportedly drawing interest from the NHL scouting community. Defenseman Mike McKee, a native of Newmarket, Ontario who plays for former Bruin Matt Herr at the Kent School. Scouts are not sure why McKee, who could play for the Ottawa 67's or even the USHL's Lincoln Stars (they own his rights) is playing in a hockey backwater in the New England prep ranks instead of the OHL, but after the performance he had in Toronto last Wednesday, things might change. McKee at 17 is already 6-4 and 230 pounds and apparently skates extremely well for such a big boy. He's an August 1993 birthdate, which means he's on the young end of the spectrum. He had three goals and 11 points last season for the Lions, and watch for him to breakout in a big way (pun intended) this season if he returns. He and USHL defender Scott Mayfield looked quite good as a defensive pairing on the ice this week, and it will be interesting to see how his hockey skills and intellect grade out, as clearly, the fact that he's such a physical specimen already but one who can actually skate, makes him one kid that NHL teams are zeroing in on this season no matter where he ends up playing.

    2012 NHL Entry Draft Discussion

The "rumor" about Suter not playing in the east is coming from Minny... Ryan Suter's agent denies that he's supplied a list of teams he'd be willing to be traded to http://m.startribune.com/sports/?id=159195455 http://flyers.thecheckingline.com/blog/kim-pollock/philadelphia-flyers/suters-list-potential-teams-does-not-exist-according-report http://www.fannation.com/truth_and_rumors/view/330993?eref=twitter_feed

    2012 NHL Entry Draft Discussion

What Kenny could do: Bring back Hudler as top six forward Bring back for the 2nd tour Sammy as the RW top six forward Bring back for the 2nd tour Lilja to play with Kronwall I don't know why but for the some reasons Holland loves to bring people for the 2nd tour... And they can add Suter without any problems now that Zbynek is gone. http://spectorshockey.net/blog/nhl-entry-draft-rumors-part-one-june-23-2012/ NBC SPORTS PRO HOCKEY TALK: Joe Yerdon cited a “tweet” from Pittsburgh Tribune-Review’s Rob Rossi claiming Penguins GM Ray Shero, after trading away Jordan Staal, contacted Nashville Predators GM David Poile to discuss the rights of pending UFA blueliner Ryan Suter. Poile, however, isn’t trading Suter’s rights as he hopes to re-sign him. SPECTOR’S NOTE: It appears Shero has moved away from Suter to Phoenix’s Keith Yandle, though his dealing Zbynek Michalek back to the Coyotes last night could instead signal he’s clearing cap space to take a serious run at Suter via the UFA market on July 1. Report: Penguins to make play for Zach Parise http://prohockeytalk.nbcsports.com/2012/06/22/of-course-the-penguins-are-after-ryan-suter-too/#/2012/06/22/report-penguins-to-make-play-for-zach-parise/

McKee seems to be a BEAST... Bodin - 6'-6" forward... can he skate/hit?

    2012 NHL Entry Draft Discussion

I agree, they pick up some great assets for Staal, make a cap room by trading Zbynek for either Parise and/or Sutter

Well it seems like Kenny is working very hard in order to bring Hudler back.

    High End Trade Options

I really don't know why we should consider trading Flip... He's the Pavel/Henrik hybrid. As far as I remember (I could be wrong) Flip was great on Dats line (Dat's is the man) *Parise* - Dats - Flip Franzen - Zetterberg - Nyquist Cleary - Helm - Bert (Brunner) *Prust/Moen* - Abdelkader - Eaves/Miller

Red Wings make offer to Damien Brunner

http://swisshabs.blogspot.ca/2012/05/damien-brunner-egalement-recu-des.html http://www.toutsurlehockey.com/12403/manchettes/tslh/NHL/2012-05-14/un-joueur-suisse-suscite-linteret-de-trois-equipes-dans-la-lnh-/ Best Swiss forward, Brunner received offers from: Wild, Habs and Detroit. It seems that Bab's is more than impressed by Brunner. To me, he seems to be ready for NHL. Right Hand Shoot and some Dats skills...

    Doug Murray

CSNBAYAREA.COM: Kevin Kurz doubts the San Jose Sharks recent acquisition of Brad Stuart means they will try to move veteran blueliner Dan Boyle, believing instead Douglas Murray, who had one year at $2.5 million left on his contract, could become the odd man out due to his lack of foot speed. SPECTOR’S NOTE: Hat tip to GJ Berg for the link. If the Sharks do decide to shop Murray, there’d be no shortage of interest from teams seeking a physical presence on their blueline. http://spectorshockey.net/blog/wednesday-afternoon-nhl-rumor-update-june-13-2012/ Stuart rights + Kindl or Big E for Murray? Since now it's too late, what about Kindl or Big E with our 3rd rounder for Murray?

    Andrei Markov

Holland isn't stupid, he will not trade for a FINISHED player (Markov). As "Andy Pred 48" said, I would go for Emelin (Yemelin) - who reminds me of Konstantinov / Kasparaitis
  14. Dominator2005

    Thank you #5

Sad news... I survived Yzerman retairement I should be "fine" with Lids. It sucks...

    Jagr as a Hulk... Hulk-Jagr.bmp
  16. Some says it's Babs fault - he got outcoached... Some says it's Kenny fault - didn't build playoff team... I'm going with Kenny - IMO it's more than obvious. Discuss

Who do you blame for this unsuccessfully playoff run

This! Adding players in the offseason doesn't affect team chemistry.
  18. Dominator2005

roy possible coach for the habs?

Roy is open to take a job in Montreal but I know (as everybody else in Quebec City) that he would rather accept same job in QC than in MTL

Who do you blame for this unsuccessfully playoff run

I agree with... Holland will need to sign Suter and Gaustad from Nashville just like when he went after Babs when Ducks eliminated Wings... Parise at this point is a MUST for Kenny. I don't think that Q trade was a good one, he's nothing more than a 5th DEF.
  23. Dominator2005

    What's Kenny Holland's Offseason Plan?

At this point we have more chances to sign Parise than Suter (due to Parise recent comments about Red Wings).
  24. Dominator2005

    What's Kenny Holland's Offseason Plan?

I agree. It was right time to send the message to Kenny. What will be Kenny's next move??? Lilja and Sammy for the 2nd tour?
  25. Dominator2005

    What's Kenny Holland's Offseason Plan?

    Parise - Dats - Morrow (I think he's a FA) Bert/Clarkson - Zetterberg - Nyquist Moen/Bert - Flip - Eaves Miller - Helm - Rupp/Gaustad Abdelakder Lids - Schenn (for Franzen) Kronwall - White Quincey - McQuaid Smith
