I'd say its probably a lateral move. They say he's great with the youngsters, so this makes a lot of sense for the Wings organization. Someone with that skill needs to be in GR more than Detroit, and I anticipate that the Wings will benefit greatly from this move. What D-coach candidates do we have? Cheli?

After seeing the prices that Vladdy posted...and since it is shown as an Official NHL merchant...$325 for a single ticket??? And these are high seats...do you guys realize that you won't be able to see the puck from up there? I've been to the Big House, and I've walked up there. No, you will not be able to see the puck from the high seats. What a deal at $325 a pop.

This certainly wasn't as exciting as last year's finals. I remember there was WAY more activity on LGW during the Vancouver/Boston finals as well. I wonder if it would have been better as a NYR/LA finals. NJ just didn't capture my attention at all. -

Its really Stuart's fault that Kenny only got a 7th out of the rights, because he made his desire to be in San Jose public. The Wings are lucky they got anything. If they had kept it private, maybe they would have gotten a higher pick.

What do you guys think about Lids trying out his hand in management or coaching with the Vasteras club? He mentioned that hes moving back to Vasteras...and he did start his career with them. Can you be a player/coach in the swedish leagues?

Yeah, neither of them are long-time hockey fans...when in the next few seconds I hear them talking about Shaq Wish we got to see some TSN coverage instead.

Indeed. He brought a huge amount of professionalism and class to the Wings organization, especially after the Yzerman years. I wonder if we'll start to lose some of that in the coming seasons...and start to resemble some of the more unprofessional teams that seem to be more and more common these days.

ok, that just made my night...what a joke... I think some kind of suspension will be handed down...maybe a game or two, max. I know a lot of you guys don't like to hear that, but that is the way the playoffs have been so far.

You're making a stretch here by calling them fans...most of those people haven't seen a hockey game until the last couple of weeks.

Three things... One, I am really surprised at Doan giving Smith an earful in the handshake line. Now is not the time to berate your Goalie...pretty classless. Your team made it much farther in the playoffs than it had any right to. Be glad and stfu. Two, I think Brown's hit will make it to a nice Shanaban vid tomorrow or the next day. Three...do we have pics of the girl sitting behind Dave Tippett?
