Shattenkirk is having a great season and has a pretty bright future ahead of him. I really don't see the Blues giving up a young player of his caliber for Briere, that's a pretty steep asking price. We would have to give up a bit too much if we were to make an offer, and Donohue made a great point about him being a single dad and pulling his 3 kids out of school in the middle of the year to pick up and move to another state. I'd think that would be among his reasons for both wanting a NTC on his contract and being unwilling to waive it at this point.

Finished playing through the first Crysis recently, I enjoyed it enough that I bought Crysis 2 and plan on getting through it soon. I also bought Dead Space 3 yesterday, so far it's excellent. While Resident Evil has strayed from the survival horror genre, it's good to know that some still exist and do it well.

Yeah honestly just wanted to see a source for it, hadn't come across one personally and logically considering the Bruin's record I wouldn't think they would have been. It's not a rumor it's an opinion until there's some kind of validity that Boston really is looking for forward help and Franzen may be an option.

Franzen for their first? Thread fail alert, how about NO. Their first will be about 25th-30th overall first off, how about Brunner for their first because he's about on the same pace scoring wise as Franzen before he got injured. May as well dump him also because he's gonna get about the same money as Franzen when we resign him and doesn't play a physical game. Plus i'd like to see a source about how the currently east dominant Bruins feel the need for another forward and who reported this. Everything about this makes no sense at all, was this pulled from Eklund's site? Oh and as for Franzen being lazy and floaty, ever watch Bobby Ryan play? He's good for a 20+ goal scoring slump at least once a season, horribly inconsistent and commands more money, yet a lot of people seem to want to bring him in. The same goes for A LOT of goal scoring players in the NHL, but outside Wings knowledge is required here to know this.

60 point guy that's the same age as Zett and younger than Dats is worth a bag of pucks and some sticks? No.. he's a scoring RW and we need that. Bring him in at the deadline, see how he plays down the stretch, and resign him if it works out. He proved he can produce regularly on a not-so great Dallas team, I think he would be a great fit here.

Just watched through the first two seasons on Netflix, the series is phenomenal. Netflix owners if you want to catch this for free, regardless if this is your "thing" or not, watch it. It's just fantastic.

Not to mention he's been a +5 in the past few days, but his plus/minus isn't what's exciting here. Lidstrom was a scoring machine, sure Kronwall isn't going to match the defensive godliness of Nick but what player in the current NHL does? Having Kronner step in and produce like this so far is very assuring for this team, he doesn't need to be traded or bought out, he needs to stay right here. The more he's scoring and the more we are winning the more confidence he will build and begin to improve all aspects of his game. Congrats Kronwall, keep it up!
