This place is nowhere what it was a few years ago when the team was competitive. It's tough to keep coming back and talking about a bad team with no direction and poor management, it's just depressing. The GDTs have no heart anymore, Mikey who did the GDTs here virtually all season, every season for how many years isn't even around this year because of how rough this team is. Some GDTs don't hit two pages. I've lost motivation to keep up with it because it's been such a decline in interest. It is what it is, you can't blame anyone for not wanting to sit through these games and talk about tires being kicked and the dumb decisions the coach makes game after game. The important thing to take away here, is Mrazek is gone. And that is a step in the right direction. Now he's in Philly, not playing well, not playing like a starter, and that's giving me even more justification to gain draft picks for him who very likely wasn't going to be the future of this team. Thanks for those of you who have stuck around, even though I think that old cheese smell is coming from Kickazz.

Good lord, how many games are left this season? I wonder if my NHL package will give me a refund if I tell them I am a Red Wings fan and they have sympathy for me.

Getting lit up, 6 goals on 21 shots against Tampa right now. We can go back and forth like this to the point that this is the new Howard = Average thread. Mrazek's inconsistency is going to hurt the Flyers in the playoffs and our pick value when it comes down to it. Philly so far, good game, okay game, shutout, and now 10 goals against in his last two games. This is why i'm glad we got something for him.

You can cheer for the guy all you want, that's what fans do, but it makes no sense to keep him here if we can get value in return. Let's say optimistically this team turns a few things around in 3 seasons, how old is Howard? He's going to be an irrelevant piece because he's going to be aged close to the end of his career by then. What we had were two goalies making starting goaltending money. One had to go at minimum, and now with Mrazek gone, that situation is somewhat settled. I'd rather put the money Howard is being paid into getting a younger goaltender to develop.

Flyers got their first taste of Red Wings goaltending in today's game, up 5-1 with 3 minutes left and Mrazek gives up a couple in the dying minutes. Had they not got those insurance goals in the 3rd it could have gotten ugly quick. At least the Flyers have the offense there to make up for the late game bad goaltending. Two wins from Mrazek though, well on his way fattening our draft pick.

He has to win what, 5 games during the regular season to add more value to our draft pick? That's one down. Meanwhile, this GDT is panning out about how I expected a Wings Sabres matchup would. Please at least unload some of these contracts and give us fans a few positive things to look forward to in the offseason and this... whatever kind of rebuild, non-rebuild this is.

Guys, keep it civil, and on-topic. With that said, glad we got a good, and potentially better return for Mrazek. I'm ready to see us developing toward a different and brighter future. I'm hoping a lot of big pieces are moved and we can free up 10 mil + in cap by the end of the deadline. Good luck Petr, doesn't hurt me much to see you go, but I wish you the best in your future.

I sincerely hope both get dealt, because they both deserve better than this.
