Its been difficult to watch these lately. Mentally, I know there's no chance of making the playoffs at this point, and it would be for the best long-term if the Wings get as close to 1st overall pick as opposed to 14th overall... but my heart still hates seeing the Wings lose. -

Poor form putting Jonny T on this list, kickazz. Intangibles are actually the most underrated way of critically evaluating players, and Toews is chock-full of em. I voted fights and was surprised to see someone else went in that direction, too, then saw that kipwinger was in this thread.

it sounds incredibly risky, and i think the difference between goalie skill level around is incredibly tight these days. I dont think the move would really handcuff the league into trading for a goalie from them.

Generally anything outside of the top 25-50 is a crapshoot, depending on the depth of the draft. This one is fairly shallow, so the majority of our picks are essentially just more shots at playing the odds at finding a diamond. Maybe one sticks and becomes a star. -

Honestly AA is the only on of that group I particularly care about. Tatar would be nice to hold onto as well but if we're blowing up the team for a complete rebuild I wouldn't be distraught if he were traded.

Regardless of whether you want to trade Mrazek or Howard, I think it's a good idea to acquire a legitimate backup for next season (unless the organization is still in tank mode). I don't trust Coreau enough to potentially shoulder half the season, and I don't trust Mrazek to be consistent for the majority of the season, and I don't trust Howard to be healthy for the majority of the season. -
Jarnkrok currently has 21 points on a better coached and better built team that's 4th in their division. I don't think we missed out on much there.

Could you imagine the league-wide mutiny if the wings finally missed the playoffs, only to immediate get the top pick and rebound right back into competitiveness?

It looked like he wasn't. I think he just swung his stick in frustration and wasn't thinking about what he could possibly hit or the consequences. Then he hit the guy's face and immediately was called for a penalty. Right after he slaps the guy with his stick you can see he immediately was like "why the hell did I just do that". Either way he deserves a suspension.

I'm hyped this one is on NBC and not a cable channel so I can watch it without having to resort to ad-plauged streams of varying quality that may or may not abruptly end halfway through the game.
