dallas27 7 Report post Posted November 13, 2005 (edited) He's actually not playing too bad. Arizona is definately helping with all the penalties, turnovers and their not so good defense, but he's putting some zip on the ball and firing it in there. Stepping up in the pocket and making some plays too. Pretty impressive game so far by the Lions and Joey. That being said the Lions still have to lose so we get a decent draft pick. So Joey start playing like you normally do damn it, stop with this playing good crap. Hopefully it's like a every dog has his day thing and the day is the first half. betterREDthandead 58 Report post Posted November 13, 2005 Oh yes, I'm fantastically excited about a good showing against the Arizona Cardinals. Game isn't even over yet...let's relax and let the Lions finish out their 6-10 season in peace.

Hockeytown Red Wings 245 Report post Posted November 13, 2005 It games like this that make me so mad every other week. Maybe it's the Cardinals, maybe they actually had their head out of their ass...but it can be done.

Maybe it's the Cardinals, maybe they actually had their head out of their ass...but it can be done. Maybe they had their top receiver actually in the lineup for the first time in weeks? Maybe the line offered a little bit of protection for Harrington for once?
betterREDthandead 58 Report post Posted November 13, 2005 The line offered protection because Arizona has no pass rush. They're freaking Arizona. But it's nice to see Roy Williams finally in the lineup....the Lions really are a different team with him in there, because he's the one guy who's a threat to make the passing game work. It doesn't matter why..it matters that it happened. We got to see what I have been saying all along. Harrington has good skills, just gets into trouble when the line folds the way it has in Detroit for 20+ years.
Heroes of Hockeytown 694 Report post Posted November 14, 2005 That's great that they won; Roy Williams is a machine. They still suck, however. It's going to be embarrasing to see them be dismantled by Dallas next week.
gowingsgo 3 Report post Posted November 14, 2005 Did you see CHARLIE BATCH last night in the first half? Holy hell that guy had a damn fine first half. Shame he broke his hand. Complete 180 from his game v Green Bay,
Matt 1,048 Report post Posted November 14, 2005 Sure was nice to get a win out of my 1st Lions game. (Been to a few preseason games, never a regular season one until yesterday.) Was fun tailgating all morning (though a bit windy) at the Eastern Market. It was a fun game to watch, for sure, and Harrington -- besides a boneheaded pass in the 1st quarter that could've been intercepted for 6 -- really looked good. He rifled some hard passes into places just his receivers could catch it, etc. I still can't stand Mooch, though. Give Jones more than 14 GODDAMN CARRIES! He would've blown up for his first 100+ yard game of the season if he'd have gotten his due 20-25 carries. Man, even his old man is calling Detroit radio stations bitching about his lack of carries. Anyway.... Dallas is going to be a completely different animal. Here's to hoping the Eagles slap 'em around a bit tonight and we get some injury help + a short week for them. That defensive line is going to be scary, and if Lehman and Holmes are going to be out.... yeowtch!

dallas27 7 Report post Posted November 15, 2005 Hehe, don't jump to conclusions and say that they could have played that way all year long, they did play the Arizona Cardinals. They, the whole team, had a good game no doubt but let's not just jump to conclusions here. Arizona is 2-7 and their KICKER is the leading scorer in the NFL. That isn't saying much, just like Jason Hanson is the leading scorer in the Lions history... And despite having a good game Mooch stated that Joey starting sunday depends on Garcia's health. Like Matt said Dallas is a different team, a much better defensive team. Assuming Joey does start now is the time that prove that sunday wasn't a fluke and that he can throw good back to back games together.
dallas27 7 Report post Posted November 15, 2005 And I'm gonna try to get Shaun Alexander next year for my fantasy team. Damn is that guy a touchdown machine.
