My dad was about to kill someone today. Some people were letting this guy cut across the intersection on Harper going into the store and my dad couldn't even see him coming. BAAAAM. T-Bone city. And then the guy/driver that was responsible had the balls to say to the cop "Boy, he sure was flying" even though my dad said he was going about 30. My dad said he's lucky the police officer was there becuase he was gonna tear the guy a new one. Granted 30 is still going fast for a t-bone, my dad said he knocked the passenger side door all the way to the drivers side.

Here's the freaky part. My dad told my mom that he has not gotten in an accident in a long time just the other day. BUT my dad did not skimp this time around and got collision so it's all good.

I really don't want to see what my dad is capable when he is that pissed off.

I have come so close to getting in a wreck so many times the past couple weeks, I feel like I'm quickly using up my wreck-avoiding karma.

Like just last week, I was coming up to a four-way intersection where there are three stop signs. I had no stop sign. I was turning left, because that's pretty much the only thing to do - the other two ways are a parking lot and a gate. A lady coming from my left was turning left and I cut her off....couldn't see her at all, she was in the left-turn lane behind a truck. Nearly got T-boned in the driver's side. She got all pissy, probably did not realize I had no stop sign and she had to wait til all oncoming traffic from her right side was clear.

Another time I nearly got T-boned making a right turn while someone else tried to make a U-turn right in front of a No U Turn sign.

And just on Monday I had to screech on my brakes to avoid rear-ending someone on the freeway (sudden slowdowns from 60 to 20 or so are really quite common on Norfolk freeways) and I could hear three or four sets of screeching brakes behind me as well.

Oh, and Kat....congrats on going to college....you will have a blast, guaranteed, that is, if college across the pond is anything like it is here.

i saw a t-bone today. it was nasty. all i can say is some one forgot to stop. oops

Not if it was at 10 and Harper....

It is actually illegal when you are stopped at a light to let someone cut across in front of you and try to merge into traffic. What just happened to my dad is a prime example. Light turns green, my dad seeing this does not stop, sees the guy at the last minute, and wham. Nothing my dad can do.

DO NOT LEAVE THE HOUSE

that'd be the best advice I've heard all week if I didn't like my paycheck.
