timothy1997 0 Report post Posted January 22, 2006 I am rooting for carolina to win so we can have the XFL football story. Pittsburgh's Tommy Maddox, the XFL MVP during their only year VS. Carolina's Rod Smart, formerly known as "HE HATE ME" in the XFL. Good story!!
betterREDthandead 58 Report post Posted January 23, 2006 I am rooting for carolina to win so we can have the XFL football story. Pittsburgh's Tommy Maddox, the XFL MVP during their only year VS. Carolina's Rod Smart, formerly known as "HE HATE ME" in the XFL. Good story!! Smart has a whopping 67 yards of rushing in a five-year NFL career and Maddox is the third-stringer. If they get around to playing up that story, they're really hard up. Side note: I looked up Rod Smart and finally realized where Boss's avatar comes from. Busted out laughing. Good stuff! gowingsgo 3 Report post Posted January 23, 2006 The wheels on the Bus go round and round.......to Detroit City. Get ready for a Steeler Nation invasion. I think I'm going to have to sit this one out. I have a commitment Feb 1 - Feb 4 that keeps me tied up. Otherwise I'd sell off anything I could find to get a ticket and find my way into Detroit City. I hope the Sea Chickens gameplan for us like the last 3 suckers have, stop the run, put the ball in Big Ben's hand. I like our chances. Remember this, the good guys wear black. HERE WE GO! We should be wearing white as a road team in an NFC building they rotate whom is the home team. Last year, philadelphia was the home team in jacksonville....the year before that, new england was the home team in houston.

gowingsgo 3 Report post Posted January 23, 2006 anyone else think it is ironic and strange to see former steeler great terry bradshaw talk to all the seahawks?? Very strange. We need TB as our honorary captain at XL. He needs to rub some of that SB magic off on Big Ben.......times

gowingsgo 3 Report post Posted January 23, 2006 Read in the PPG that we as the home team get our choice of what jersey we wear. I'm guessing they go with the lucky road whites.
RockyMountainWingGal 108 Report post Posted January 24, 2006 Isn't it ironic how the Steelers get a guy like Roethlisberger in the first round and the Lions wind up with a guy like Harrington with the #1 pick? OK no more talk of the Lions in a playoff thread. Harrington was not a #1 pick...he was picked 3rd overall. Oops - doesn't matter. He was way overdrafted nonetheless. The Lions are cursed - with other teams getting guys like Roethlisberger, Palmer, Manning etc it only figures that the Lions wind up with someone that doesn't live up to expectations like Harrington..... RockyMountainWingGal 108 Report post Posted February 2, 2006 Palmer and Manning were drafted ahead of Detroit. Not the case with Big Ben tho. Yeah I know. I'm just stating that when it's the Lions' turn to get a top draft pick they wind up with a dud. Other teams wind up with stars. Houston will get lucky with any of the top three this year.
