Guest LivingtheDream Report post Posted August 11, 2006 You guys are going to think I am 100% nuts, but I have personal experience in this. Whatever they do to his wrist, they might also ask him about keeping off the computers and video games! Way back there was an article about him and Pavel always playing video games together. Some people have no problems, but for others that stuff can tear your wrists apart. It may not hurt at the computer/PS2, but it will later. Wrist problems due to computer use is the one of the top worker health issues. PS2, the silent off season killer.
shanny is the man 0 Report post Posted August 11, 2006 Better now than to have this happen in the spring. If he misses significant time this fall, we'll see just who will step up and who won't. Best of health, "Z".

OsGOD 3 Report post Posted August 11, 2006 Actually, struggling out of the gate, just might be what will light a fire under our asses to play an entire complete season (pre, regular, post). We cruise on into the playoffs and never quite figure out how to turn the cruise off or adjust it for a higher speed... The result is complaceny with our success and an early exit. Struggle and strife to get the season underway just might be what the doctor ordered. Hopefully everythings turns out alright with Z.

It would certainly be a different start than last year, hopefully producing a different ending as well. Having one our best players out for a few weeks would force several players to kick it up a natch. Then when he comes back, G-d willing they'll still be in kicked-up-mode, and we'll see some impressive numbers (and lots of W's).
Trainwatcher 0 Report post Posted August 11, 2006 Zetterberg update ... Zetterberg had the wrist looked at this afternoon by a hand specialist. Found nothing structurally wrong -- just some inflammation -- and there's no need for surgery at this point. He'll get a cortisone shot Monday, then head back to Sweden. Check out tomorrow's Detroit News for more details, as well as some updates on free agency.

Matt 1,049 Report post Posted August 11, 2006 Zetterberg's OK. I split NN's post into a new thread since the original was more dedicated to speculation leading up to the actual diagnosis: http://www.letsgowings.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=37078
