He's a fan of the "Compliment Sandwich" made famous by Stewie on Family Guy -- something nice about someone...followed by somwhere they need improvement...and topping it off with a nice compliment again. When I started in the league, Chicago had the old Stadium fans. It was an electric place to play, but there is just no one in the building right now. Blindness is not good. Wow, this is really serious. Think about it, Barnaby has had over 200 career fights! That's a ridiculous amount. Even when fighting was going strong and you'd have a number of guys with 20+ fights in one year (which is alot) that'd be 9-10 seasons straight of that. That's a really high number. Now think about all those fights and how many of those guys are lead punchers with their right hand? Did they not say Barnaby was losing vision in his left eye? I'm not sure how the brain works, I know the left side controls the right and vice versa but if you punched in the left side of your head about oh, say 1000 times by people trying to knock you out, you might have done some irreparable damage to that side of your face, perhaps internal damage to your nerves or the structure around our eye. This sounds very serious and if it were me, i'd hang them up. It's hard to walk away from what you love but there are limits. How many people would seriously debate this ultimatum: Stop what you are doing or go blind in your 30's. Seems like an easy decision. If he does retire, despite the big mouth I loved Barnaby. I only saw him get thoroughly destoryed a handful of times but when you are a moderately sized guy and you fight the big guns your whole career that is enough to earn my respect.
