i_like_cheese_2001 0 Report post Posted February 9, 2007 cant anyone find a video of the 21 second hat trick? thats insane. It was back in 1952, so I doubt it.
hockeyfanatic 0 Report post Posted February 9, 2007 cant anyone find a video of the 21 second hat trick? thats insane. Considering how long ago it was, don't hold your breath. I don't think many games were even televised at the time. This was in the 50s I think.

Hockeytown Red Wings 245 Report post Posted February 9, 2007 Thats great...didnt Ryan Smyth do it in just over 2 minutes not long ago?
WingNutt 12 Report post Posted February 9, 2007 Mr. Whitney is another one of those player whom I wish we would have held onto. Congrats man, and good luck with the rest of your career. Could have used his play in the playoffs last year.
Icer 0 Report post Posted February 9, 2007 Mr. Whitney is another one of those player whom I wish we would have held onto. The Wings really didn't have a spot for him. The 2004 Wings were loaded up front and his ice time was down to nothing by the end of the season. Then the salary cap happened and carrying someone with his salary to play 4th line minutes became economic suicide. He was just odd man out.
toby91_ca 620 Report post Posted February 9, 2007 Thats great...didnt Ryan Smyth do it in just over 2 minutes not long ago? Yeah, earlier in the year, 2 minutes, 1 second.

NeverForgetMac25 483 Report post Posted February 9, 2007 1:40 is just plain unbelivable regardless if the record is 0:21. Its remarkable to get a hat trick in a game. Its' rare to get a natural hatty, but getting one in 1:40 is truly special. Sidenote: esteef, one hat trick doesn't warrant saying it was a mistake to get "rid" of Whitney. There were good reasons he had to go. Sidenote 2: I'm not referring to his performance the past two seasons.

Guest LivingtheDream Report post Posted February 9, 2007 Man, I really wish we could have kept him and given him the minutes he needed to produce. But alas, we had soooooo many scoring wingers, why we were just bursting to the seems with top scoring wingers, we just needed to make the room.

Atariboy 0 Report post Posted February 10, 2007 I always believed it was a mistake getting rid of him. The Wings organization and its fans gave up on him quicker than he scored last night's hat trick. Oh well, I'm sure he's elated it happened.
MacK_Attack 108 Report post Posted February 10, 2007 Another tidbit about Mosienko and his 21-second hat-trick.....right after he scored the third goal, he got the puck right off the draw, skating into the zone and rang one off the post.
Henkka 0 Report post Posted February 10, 2007 Too bad we had to buy him out at 2004. He has been awesome in the new NHL, which rules fit him perfectly. And he is really talented right handed winger, which we mostly lack.
