rick zombo 3,739 Report post Posted March 22, 2007 (edited) Why would oyu move Homer to the 4th line? Because Bert is bigger than Thomas and has better speed and better hands. Plus he'll more than likely be able to create more room for Pavel than Thomas could.* Give Homer his minutes on the PP. * Edit: when he's healthy. Firehawk 305 Report post Posted March 22, 2007 i agree... now they just gotta keep out of the ******* box Scratch Lang, he's too slow, too many hooking penalties . I can't wait to see Bert in the lineup. I hope the crowd gives him a big welcome.

NeverForgetMac25 483 Report post Posted March 22, 2007 Scratch Lang, he's too slow, too many hooking penalties . I can't wait to see Bert in the lineup. I hope the crowd gives him a big welcome. 12 points in his last 9 games. Now I'm not saying Lang's perfect because he's far from it, but to say scratch him rather than a guy like Sammy or Maltby is ridiculous. Well, maybe not Maltby, but definitely Sammy
Zion 93 Report post Posted March 22, 2007 Expect to see some line juggling tonight. Homer hasn't been as effective without Zata, and Flip and Dats are playing well together. Look for a change at wing on the top line. As for the 2nd line, Robert Lang doesn't deserve to center that terrific line (on paper/Calder's performance, let's see how they do). As for Franzen/Draper/Maltby, they should be together for the rest of the year. Too bad about Huds. He's been very good lately, even when the rest of the team hasn't. datsyukismyfriend 4 Report post Posted March 22, 2007 damn, i'm excited!!! WOO-HOO! i'd rather keep langfeld than sammy. here's hoping sammy's the odd man out! Turretin 0 Report post Posted March 22, 2007 I am pissed for Hudler. He has done so much with so little time. Now he is going to be put on a line with guys who have hands of cement and he is going to get bashed for disappearing. You put him on a line with some talent and see what he can do. The guy is never given a chance. I'd like to see him on a line with Bert creating the space. Samuelsson is a no talent ass-clown. I don't see why Flip gets more minutes than Huds if we are talking about "earning minutes." Babcock rags on Hudler continually about all his flaws, and then plays idiots like Samuelsson. It is not going to be long before Hudler just stops listening. /rant

poxer 0 Report post Posted March 22, 2007 (edited) Samuelsson is a no talent ass-clown. The fact you say that bothers me. He probably has one of the best wrist shots on the team since Brett Hull played for us. He was injured for a month plus because of a broken foot. You try coming back off of a big injury like that and produce right away. Almost impossible (not saying no one has ever done it but I don't know anyone that has.) Lines will probably go... Filp/Dats/Hom Bert/Lang/Calder *Hudler/Cleary/Franzen *Sam/Draper/Maltby He will probably switch Hudler and Samuelson a lot in the game too. Turretin 0 Report post Posted March 22, 2007 He probably has one of the best wrist shots on the team since Brett Hull played for us. I guess I judge great shots by how many go in. If all you do is showcase your awesome shot by wafting pucks from the edge of the ice, then I don't really appreciate how skilled it is. Look at the shot chart when he is on the ice. He takes a lot of low percentage shots. Also, these are shots that aren't creating rebounds. All this does is kill the play in our zone. I'd be fine with a lot of shots if (a) they were going in, or (b) they were from high percentage spots, or © they were creating rebounds around the crease. Since he does none of that, I don't care how great his wrist shot is. Also, this has nothing to do with how well he has played lately, and everything to do with his style of play. Guest Crymson Report post Posted March 22, 2007 Most likely lines tonight: Bert-Dats-Homer Calder-Lang-Hudler Franzen-Filpulla-Cleary <---- Excited to see this one Maltby-Draper-Samuelsson Langfeld scratched. I am pissed for Hudler. He has done so much with so little time. Now he is going to be put on a line with guys who have hands of cement and he is going to get bashed for disappearing. It is not going to be long before Hudler just stops listening. /rant Umm, Hudler will almost certainly stay with Calder and Lang. They click too well. I imagine Babcock is not foolish enough to break up what has lately been his best line. Filpulla will play with Franzen and Cleary or Maltby and Draper. Until Z gets back, Hudler isn't going anywhere, and if Sammy continues to play the way he has, look for him to get benched rather than Hudler. Under Bowman, Sammy'd already be back in the farm system... except he'd not be playing in the minors, he'd actually be shoveling s*** on a farm.
