Wingfan191 2 Report post Posted March 24, 2007 It's funny, any other team in this league would have immediately scored on that ensuing powerplay after one of their own guys went down with an injury like that. They'd also be hitting every player in sight and the crowd would be going nuts. But not Detroit. In fact I think Detroit is the only team in the league that honestly does not show anger or drive in times when they desperately need it. None of these players are acting mad or frustrated. After then end of the first period why am I not seeing one of these guys breaking their stick over the net or boards!? Show me some passion Detroit, SHOW ME ANYTHING right now because you will NOT win this game in the 3rd period. In fact, that will not happen the rest of the season. YOU now need to score the first goal of these games, hell the first 3 goals because you seem to just think you're automatically going to win as soon as you score the first goal and stop playing. This s*** drives me crazy about this team. How the hell do they have 100 pts?!?!?
Guest Agalloch Report post Posted March 24, 2007 What the hell is this? Just another Red Wings game where our team of dinosaurs show no effort at all, along with a screwjob from the refs. What's new?
Hockeytown Red Wings 245 Report post Posted March 24, 2007 Damn quick whistles... By the way, anyone listening to NHL radio feed and realizing that it's at least a minute behind game action.

savaking72 0 Report post Posted March 24, 2007 Hey Wings...why don't you play with some balls in the 2nd. Lebda gets boarded, and then they suck even more. 5 minute power play, and nothing. Time to wake up wings.
zetterbergfuturemvp 0 Report post Posted March 24, 2007 wow what a pathetic period , the guys arent even trying and its like there freaking out that the blues players are all over them , if a better team in the playoffs does that then were screwed ,lebda is out and instead of trying to win the game for him , they are playing awful. RedRum #1 0 Report post Posted March 24, 2007 The Blues are winning every battle and 3 or 4 steps faster than Detroit right now. It's not about the refs at all. The Wings are playing in quicksand and show no interest in competing today.
Guest Agalloch Report post Posted March 24, 2007 Also, instead of blaming it all on the refs and players, how about the crowd ******* wakes up? I realize a lot of the seats are corporate, but the Joe looked very full today, and yet the crowd is dead as can be. I don't think I heard any cheering or encouraging at all, outside of when Lebda was taken off.
savaking72 0 Report post Posted March 24, 2007 (edited) Cheli needs to stop thinking about tomorrows Greek Independence Day and start thinking about Today's hockey game. After Niemenen plowed Lebda's head into the boards, Chelios was the only one on the team who even showed up to object.

RedRum #1 0 Report post Posted March 24, 2007 Cheli needs to stop thinking about tomorrows Greek Independence Day and start thinking about Today's hockey game. For the last few seasons Chelios goes through stretches where he looks washed up and beyond done. The past several games Chelios has been awful.

Aussie_Wing 354 Report post Posted March 24, 2007 It’s pretty sad that our main enforcer is 45 year of age. Can’t wait for Kindl to be a Wing after seeing what he did to Robbie Drummond in retaliation to a hit on his teammate.

That is still no excuse for some of his poor efforts in the wings zone.
ProudestMonkey 0 Report post Posted March 24, 2007 every once in a while i swear the nhl is rigged to Gary Bettman's wishes. Now i know some of the more intellgent people on this thread would just see this and laugh but think about it. What would get hockey started more in nashville? How about them winning the division. Well nashville isn't playing great right now,....so what do we do? oh! i got it,..we make sure the refs know that the penatlies for any game should be at least 2-1 against the wings. Really? esteef 2,679 Report post Posted March 24, 2007 (edited) Off topic kinda, but does anyone else think Federko's voice sounds like Kenny Holland's? Man if you close your eyes, it's like Kenny's calling the game. Anyway... Edited March 24, 2007 by esteef
