Hasek is Lazy and He Sucks! :P

Great Article. If he can keep up his play, we should be in great shape. I love Dom's mindset. It's exactly what you want in your starting goalie (especially come playoff time).

Edit: Grammar

Was there a mistake in the article?

I honestly dont remember Freddy Olaussen on the wings.

???

Oh yeah, he was Lidstrom's defensive partner in the 2002 playoffs.

He scored the game winner in like double overtime against the Avs in game 2 of the WCF.

edit: It was a long slapper from just inside the blueline that (I think) deflected of an Av and beat Roy.

Game 3

The Wings lost Game 2 by a score of 3-4.

Awesome article. It makes me all warm and fuzzy to know he's our last line of defense. I feel way better about going into the playoffs this year than I did last year.

I feel the same way, I have a more confident feeling entering the playoffs this year.

Just mentioning the words Legace and playoffs in the same sentance makes my stomach uneasy.

"I don't want my legacy to be about the numbers, or how many trophies I won," Hasek said. "I want it to be that I was a competitor, and that my teammates believed in me."

I believe in you Dom, hell hundreds of thousands of Wings fans believe in you.

Great read loo, thanks.

Holland's quote sums up Hasek real well.

"Obviously, I'll never forget what Dom did in helping us win the Cup in '02. But just as important with me was, when he walked into my office in January 2004 -- January 5th, I think it was -- and he said, 'Ken, I'm not here for the money. If I can't play, don't pay me another cent of my salary.'

"He walked away from $3 million. How many people would walk away from $3 million? I mean, he had it coming to him. I never forgot that."

Heart of a champion.

Neat little read, that changes my perception of Hasek some, although he still rubs me the wrong way to an extent.

If there's one thing I have always liked about him though in spite of the goalie drama circus a few seasons ago was that he rarely seems to lose any intensity at his job.

Keeping a high energy level from start to finish mentally is something I strive to do when I am running/jogging or doing a workout.
