puckloo39 5,686 Report post Posted April 1, 2007 I'm really pissed I watched the damn Nashville game waiting for a scrap and instead all the excitement is happening in the Canucks-Flames game. Tootoo was f**king brutal. Took a ton of stupid penalties that turned out to be really costly. Whoever said he gets treated like a rock star is right. Those whistles and all the attention he gets, man. I seriously do not see what people see in Tootoo. He's a thug. Plain and simple. Avery was a scrappy, nasty little SOB, but he had some heart and character -- or maybe I was biased because he was a Wing?

So no, you're not being bias.
Hockey13Playa 240 Report post Posted April 1, 2007 Well, not really, but he had a really pouty look on his face. Then again, come to think of it, he always looks like that. Well yeah I figured he wasn't actually crying, but it was a figure of speech. Its still funny none the less. Glad the stars won tonight!

RedWingsFanatic 4 Report post Posted April 1, 2007 Not to derail the conversation, but the real story here in these next few days may end up being the Anaheim Ducks. They started feverishly, and then severely cooled down, but since then, they have been steadily climbing the standings without many people noticing. As was mentioned earlier in the thread, they have leapfrogged Nashville and are now tied with the Wings (albeit with Detroit having a game in hand). Still, though, the race for the President's Trophy is most definitely a four-team race with Detroit, Buffalo, Nashville and Anaheim. The Ducks will be a scary playoff team, too. Heroes of Hockeytown 694 Report post Posted April 1, 2007 Still, though, the race for the President's Trophy is most definitely a four-team race with Detroit, Buffalo, Nashville and Anaheim. Being the second seed is an interesting proposition. #7 Minnesota and #8 Calgary isn't set in stone, but I get the feeling that's how it's going to go down. The dreaded Curse of the Second Seed doth loom large, but I do like our chances against the Wild.

I haven't forgotten them. Teemu is the key on that team. If the D and the goalie can shut him down, they can handcuff the offense. And keep a man on Niedermeyer at all times. Buffalo is the real threat, IMO. Hey, he doesn't need glasses to collect tolls and eat billygoats. trip trap, trip trap! that sounds like a bad shift of hockey, not a fairy tale line, eh? puckloo39 5,686 Report post Posted April 1, 2007 Why do I get a feeling that Luongo could get yanked before the 3rd? Edi, did you see the goals? I was watching Dallas and my neighbor was here. She went home. Tired of hockey? Anyway, was Luongo liable on the goals? Judging from who scored them, I'd tend to think not.
Hockeytown0001 7,652 Report post Posted April 1, 2007 Nucks just nailed the post, and took a penalty. Anyone else think it's gonna be 4-0 soon? Edi, did you see the goals? I was watching Dallas and my neighbor was here. She went home. Tired of hockey? Anyway, was Luongo liable on the goals? Judging from who scored them, I'd tend to think not. The first one from Lankow was just a good shot over the glove. The second was on a 2 on 1, and the third was off a rebound of an Iginla shot into a wide open cage, I don't think he had a good chance to stop the last two goals.
