Jesus 0 Report post Posted April 3, 2007 (edited) Anyone see the movie The Lookout and hear Ken Kal doing play-by-play for a Wings and Jackets game in the movie. It's weird that the director choose a Wings game for the main character to listen to while he's at work since the movie is set in Kanas City. You could tell it was recent since you hear Ken talk about Robert Lang and mentions Manny Malhotra. If you're going to see the movie look-out for that scene and watch carefully because you see other Red Wings stuff throughout the movie. theman19 47 Report post Posted April 3, 2007 lol, now there's a true Red Wings fan oh yes, and it's not just red wings stuff (obviously that's first) but hockey in general. I'm a student of the game, and any time the game is mentioned or shown i go all geekie,.i was barley containable when the movie miracle came out. It's a game that i can recite the final min. of play. lol,..needless to say my fiance has just given up hope and has surrendered to the darkside and now watches hockey. (she picked the kings as her favorite team, just because of there jersey's,.....sigh,...i'm going to marry a puckbunny)

edicius 3,269 Report post Posted April 3, 2007 Nah, the ultimate Wings presence in a movie (aside from Cameron in Ferris Bueller) is the Yzerman mural plain as day in "The Island".

He kind of sounds like he's getting kicked in the groin every time the Wings score. As true as that is, I think the radio guys are great. Their banter over the trivia question always cracks me up. I think a lot of it is that you're partial to what you're exposed to first. I've been listening to Ken and Paul almost since they got together, and much more frequently than I've been able to watch a game done by Ken and Mick.
