Icer 0 Report post Posted April 13, 2007 77 games with the griffins this year... Well how about that. I've never heard of the guy and I've been to about 10 Griffins games this year. I guess he made quite the impression on me.

Andy Pred 48 337 Report post Posted April 16, 2007 An alternate captain for the Griffins, Smith signed with the Red Wings last summer after playing three years in the Edmonton system. He appeared in seven NHL games with the Oilers last season and helped Hershey capture the Calder Cup as a rookie in 1996-97.
Icer 0 Report post Posted April 16, 2007 All right. I'm an idiot. Living in GR, I should at least know the Griffins alternate captains. But to tell you the truth, I'm a pretty casual fan when it comes to the Griffins. I really don't get involved in learning a lot about the individual players. Looking at his stats, he has been pretty invisible this season. I guess that's a good thing if you're a defensemen.
