OsGOD 3 Report post Posted April 25, 2007 (edited) Well I am glad the Charter didn't drop versus! http://www.freep.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article.../704250394/1053 Bad news for hockey fans without the Versus Network. You can't see Games 1 or 4 of the Wings-Sharks series at your home. Those games are exclusive to the Versus Network, which means the games will not be on FSN Detroit or even CBC. Maybe someone should tell OLN (I mean Versus) that the sharks are actually not the aquatic animals they are used to showing on their station. zettermaberg 0 Report post Posted April 25, 2007 Nice that the game is readily available to anyone who wants to watch it, eh? WOW doesn't carry VERSUS, soI offered to pay the difference in order to get the digital upgrade. It'll be worth it!
NeverForgetMac25 483 Report post Posted April 25, 2007 CBC may carry the TSN feed. Hey Heaton, a little off the topic, but isn't it about time you dropped the January 10th, 2007 sig?
OsGOD 3 Report post Posted April 25, 2007 CBC may carry the TSN feed. You think they will? If so that would be great, but it sounds like OLN is holding to their 2 game exclusive rights deal.

redwingfan19 293 Report post Posted April 25, 2007 CBC may carry the TSN feed. CBC Will not carry the TSN feed. TSN has all the exclusive rights to the American teams playing eachother in the First two rounds of the playoffs. CBC will only show the Canadian teams, untill the the 3rd round, where they will pick up all coverage right through to the last game. You may get lucky and get the TSN feed on Versus, or you may get TSN on satelitte. All I know is that TSN will be covering the WIngs/SHarks series here in Canada, specifically Ontario. Boy am I lucky I think its awful that people who live in Detroit or abroad that won't get to see these games 1 and

OsGOD 3 Report post Posted April 25, 2007 At least the true fans in Detroit won't miss out, right? By true you mean those of us dishing out the $$'s to go to the game? Since I am one of those going to game 1 tomorrow and have versus and have centre Ice this was moot for me... But I know it does affect my parents. I think its crappy that OLN gets a 2 game exclusive
NeverForgetMac25 483 Report post Posted April 25, 2007 thats odd you have the VS. channel for time warner. around here in cincinnati we do not get it. which is why i went with DirectTV Really? It must be a local decision on which channels Time Warner wants to include. Here in Green Bay, WI its always been a part of their digital cable (and regular cable I believe). Heroes of Hockeytown 694 Report post Posted April 25, 2007 Man, f*** Versus. I'm sure sopcast will take care of me.
Vladinator 0 Report post Posted April 25, 2007 At least the true fans in Detroit won't miss out, right? WTF is that supposed to mean? The quality of the fan is NOT determined by their ability to shell out money to see games. My cable provider (WOW) doesn't include VS in their basic cable package. I can't afford the extra bread to go with digital cable, so does that mean I'm not a true fan in Detroit??? Give me a break.
aflac9262 211 Report post Posted April 25, 2007 Looks like I'm gonna be stuck with Sopcast, even though any major sports league shouldn't cause fans to have to go this far. Sad.
motorcitykid 42 Report post Posted April 25, 2007 no CBC? wow my dad who lives about an hour south of detroit is going to be pissed. He is pretty cheap and won't add the package that includes versus.
