MUDSHARK 0 Report post Posted April 27, 2007 i thought the wings were too slow, not in sync with one another, had`way too many turnovers, and couldnt win the battles in the corners and against the walls. They were just outplayed period tonight. Probably one of the most boring hockey games I have watched in a long time p.s. I thought Schneids played horrible tonight What he said. sharksfan12 0 Report post Posted April 27, 2007 Wow...just wow. I thought Detroit had a hockey team. They look like a bunch of old men from a softball team trying to play hockey out there. Just wait until we really unleash the beast. All i heard was detroit could roll 4 lines blah blah blah. Looks like our 3rd and 4th line dominated. 35 shots on goal next game...I guarantee it. That is unless you don't score again. In which case, we'll just sit back and knock the puck out of the zone for 45min. And Sharks fans actually show up to the game. All 17,496 of us will be there minus a few hundred Red Wings fans. Do any of you guys actually live in Michigan?

tazzer82 0 Report post Posted April 27, 2007 You know what's great? We are ALL calm and civil. This is always how it should be. BTW, Wings are going to blow 'em out on Saturday. I'm not normally calm after a loss, but I'm just not going to be vocal about it on here. I'm pissed, but realize the Sharks absolutely blew tonight, and the Wings are going to beat them on Saturday. kylee 727 Report post Posted April 27, 2007 ^^^ hey man just cause your team caught a win in detroit doesn't mean that the Wings are a bunch of bums. id ask YOU if you knew anything about hockey? detroit played well below par, i have no problem with that being said, but dont flaunt yourself around LGW like you just won the stanley cup. so much for being humble eh bud? YoungGuns1340 1 Report post Posted April 27, 2007 another point for thought? Why is quincey playing better than some D-men like Markov and Schneids Hes keeping it simple. I liked the comment he made after game 6. Something about "just keeping it simple and getting the puck to the forwards." too many of our Dmen are attempting passes that are out of their league - even out of this league. They need to keep it a bit more simple and well be fine.
wingsfan_54 10 Report post Posted April 27, 2007 That was brutal, right now San Jose is hungrier than we are, 15 blocked shots to ... and we had 24 turnovers?Embarrassing, better pick it up next game we need a better effort and get sum scoring chances saying we had 0 2nite! P.S. we need Holmstrom back! Go Wings Go!!

Do yourself a favor, if you're going to start s*** with stupid posts like this, then you might as well just go back to the Sharks boards before you get alot of people pissed off and get yourself removed. Edit: And this is me being calm. Edited April 27, 2007 by tazzer82

EasyMark 8 Report post Posted April 27, 2007 What? I was just about to make a post saying "So much for the huge San Jose forwards and our defense not being able to cover them." The Sharks didn't generate much at all when they were in the Wings zone. The second goal was the Wings' fault. I thought that one of the reasons we were out of sync was because the bigger san jose players were using their strength to push us off of the puck i esp noticed it with hank and pav. I felt like we didnt have any puck possesion. Good read. We have been trying to explain that the Sharks are not like Calgary. It is NOT the hitting that gives the Sharks their edge. It is the battle along the boards and forecheck in the offensive zone where the size makes a difference. Grier's goal was created by a forecheck leading to the turnover. Anyway, the Wings controlled the pace of the game for 50 minutes. The Sharks just capitalized on the Wings sloppy first 10 minutes. It's not going to happen again. San Jose's offense couldn't get anything done in the Wings zone. Edited April 27, 2007 by ARice89

datsyukismyfriend 4 Report post Posted April 27, 2007 well... i thought schneider was our worst player tonight. other than the obvious giveaway that led to their second goal. he was getting passes picked off and shooting into clogged lanes and getting shots blocked all night. our pp sucked (mostly a bunch of blocked shots from the blue line) and our pk sucked on its one chance. 27 giveaways, wow. nobody looked confident out there. nobody was clicking. just a bad game all around. and i didn't think san jose played well either. should be an entirely different game saturday (lets hope) from both clubs. WingsWingsWings 3 Report post Posted April 27, 2007 That really was a pretty pitiful playoff game. The Sharks outplayed the First Period, then the Wings realized that the Game had actually started. They just could never reach the level they needed to be. Sharks clogged up all the passing and shooting lanes. I just hope that neither Wings Fans or Sharks Fans are trying to predict anything from this game. It was just ugly. I hope the Wings will bring it in Game 2!! HockeyCrazy3033 168 Report post Posted April 27, 2007 The funny thing is before the game even started I was absolutely not nervous and told myself that I thought it'd feel like as season game..and it did. B-O-R-I-N-G. Which is pretty shocking because this is suppose to be the most exciting series! It's just one game though..im sure it'll change.

Firehawk 305 Report post Posted April 27, 2007 (edited) It's funny cause he wasn't a dick in the chat but I guess after the win he can talk smack lol. My take: I don't think the wings played all that badly. I mean, if not for giving up the PP goal it's probably 0-0 and we're in OT right now. The sharks block shots well and stay in the center of the ice. They did a good job of keeping Detroit away from Nabokov all night. We had the puck in their end most of the night. I don't know how many more games the wings can only take 1 penalty. I mean my God. So far they are 0% no the PP and 0% on the PK lol. That obviously needs the improvement, but 5 on 5, they didn't play THAT bad really. They better be able to find a way to get more traffic or somethin otherwise this series will be very short. The sharks can hang talentwise, physical-wise, and defense-wise. Detroit's going to have to beat them with skill and that's the bottom line. Hopefully we get breaks next game. Gonna be a tough team to beat. Edited April 27, 2007 by Firehawk
datsyukismyfriend 4 Report post Posted April 27, 2007 Detroit had 27 giveaways, the Sharks had 5, you figure it out. yeah, i've grown accustomed to seeing high marks in the giveaway column for detroit but 27 is terrible. you're not going to win many games giving the puck away 27 times.
