Happy Pancake 6 Report post Posted April 30, 2007 I saw this question mentioned in an article on ESPN.com and it has been something that has always bothered me. Honestly I don't really see the big deal if a player kicks the puck into the net if that's the only way he move the puck forward. To me it doesn't seem like the goalie is put in an unfair position by having the puck guided past him like that. What do you guys think?
haroldsnepsts 4,826 Report post Posted April 30, 2007 No. It's never a good idea to have guys with razor-sharp blades strapped to their feet kicking at things.
betterREDthandead 58 Report post Posted April 30, 2007 What harold said. Also, the more players have to use their stick to play the puck, the less opportunity they have to use them as a weapon.
BuckeyeWingsfan80 209 Report post Posted May 1, 2007 absolutely not.... This isn't soccer....use your stick as it was intended....
Wings_Fan_In_Exile 3 Report post Posted May 1, 2007 While the lenthy "contreversial" reviews of goals can be a pain, it's better than razor blades flying around the goal crease more than they need to.
twins1729 0 Report post Posted May 6, 2007 I say no, it's an unfair goal, hockey isn't soccer, a goal should be scored with a stick.
wingsfan40 0 Report post Posted May 20, 2007 I think Yes...but no questionable calls...it would have to be pretty blatant to be disallowed
