Threw up at least a dozen times and didn't feel better afterwards, can't even keep water or Pepto or anything down, nasty freeze/burn cycle, and lost an entire day during a VERY busy/important week. However did the ducks deserve to win against Ottawa? Yes. I rooted for Ottawa all the way, but the ducks shut them down. The only only perfect play is putting the damn puck in the net, and they continuosly found a way to do that. As an organization the ducks deserve to have their name on the cup this year. Ottawa could've shown up different if they played Detroit or Detroit could've just started stinking up the joint for whatever reason. The Ducks deserved to win the Cup, they did just enough to get past Detroit even though they were outchanced. Simple as that. Yup Ducks deserve to win. I disagree on Ottawa vs Detroit though - I think the West is so much better the Wings would have beat them handily too. I actually had a much harder time with two Southern teams winning the Cup than the Ducks. Even though the Ducks are relatively new - (1993)- California has had NHL hockey since the '67 expansion. I hope the prick celebrates with it and falls down the stairs or something and tears his ACL again. I hate him but not as bad as I hate the new NHL and Gary Bettman. Knowing that the Detroit Red Wings got screwd out of the cup this year makes me so mad, the only way that can ease my pain is knowing that either Pronger or Bettman have something extremely bad happen to them. I've come to hate the Ducks as much as anybody over the last eight weeks (heck, living in SoCal, I've disliked them longer than most,) but to say that they only won because of lucky bounces and refereeing decisions is absurd. Yes, Pronger is an unspeakable word. Yeah, the Niedermayers took cheap shots. Yes, Perry is a ****. And you know what? They won. And yes, they deserved it. Scoreboard. End of story. And unfortunately, they're not just going to disappear anytime soon. Since the new ownership group took over last year, they've become one of the best-run organizations in hockey. They may not repeat next year, but they're going to be a force for a while. Sorry, but the Ducks are here to stay. Agreed... The Ducks have a good young core and Scotty and Donger are the best one two punch D in the league. Plus Jiggy ain't chopped liver either. They can go to hell. how did we get screwed out of the cup? if ur talking about the call in game 5 with a minute left, that went both ways...they almost got screwed in game 6. bottom line is, anaheim took advantage of their opportunities...we had MORE of them, and couldn't take advantage as well as them.
