toby91_ca 620 Report post Posted June 19, 2007 They should've gotten Quinn. They tried to get Quinn last year instead of Lewis, but were not willing to pay him the money he wanted. As someone already suggested, Quinn may end up in Ottawa, but I somewhat question the working arrangement. Quinn has become used to running the ship (i.e. no GM to report to). Wings_Toledo 233 Report post Posted June 20, 2007 Julien worked alright in New Jersey. But, that was with Lou breathing down his neck constantly. I'm not so sure he'll feel as much pressure in Boston, at least, from the organization.
Kp-Wings 3 Report post Posted June 20, 2007 (edited) Julien worked alright in New Jersey. But, that was with Lou breathing down his neck constantly. I'm not so sure he'll feel as much pressure in Boston, at least, from the organization. No no, he will have pressure. Every year that team misses the playoffs they fire whoever is the coach. Instead of trying to build anything off of it, they bring in a ton of guys who can be the "quick fix", so the Bruins are back in the playoffs, and Jeremy Jacobs can sit on the money that comes in from playoff games. He's as bad as Bill Wirtz. Well, maybe not that bad, since he at least let's the management sign high priced players, and televises home games on TV, but still. It's close.
