So Kenny is meeting up with Doms, Todds and Mattys agents. What is the possable outcome of these meetings and what do the players actually want. I think its clear to see that Hasek will be back to have one more shot at Stanley at

a slightly improved contract. So how about Bert? No way does Kenny entertain him on his Panthers deal, how high is Holland willing to go or more importantly how much does Bert what to stay and how much of a cut in $ is he willing to take to stay with the Wings. This will be very interesting, a happy meadium would be $3m-$3.5, could see Bert stay a Wing. Schneider is another kettle of fish thou. Mat is happy in Detroit, is having his best years in the twighlight of his career and I would say wants to stay. But with the Flyers handing Timmonen the keys to the safe, just may have opened Mathieu's eyes a little. This will be his last big pay day, so will he ask Kenny for more than he is willing to pay and test the market or does he stay pat and remain in a winning programme with a shot at the Cup again next year?

We'll all find out soon enough but what happens if we lose all 3 to UFA? I believe we could survive such a blow and we must have plans a foot to cope with that happening.

Dom to stay 90% for at a slight improved contract.

I think Bert should be willing to take less and I think 2.5 would be the highest I would like to see Kenny offer him.

He is damaged goods, he isn't the same physical force he was before "The" incident.

He is a mediocre Power forward at best, until he proves he can go to the net and create havoc. Even the Vs. announcers were saying he needs to go to the net instead of around it.

Damn if after the Timonen deal the wings can keep Matt for 4 I would eat my own feces and post it on youtube!!!!!! (well maybe not but you get the point)

- Dom will be back in a wings jersey, and I don't see him making more then like 1.25 million , which is the high end of of it.

- Bertuzzi, thats kind of iffy to be honest, he said he likes it here and wants to stay, but how much money is Holland really wanting to spend on him, I would say 3.0 million tops. Hopefully he plays for his heart and not greed.

- As for Schneider, there at least 80% chance he will be back, he also loves it here, and I think wants to finish out on top, and finish here, as for his salary, I would say around 4- 5 million seeing that Timonen got a huge pay check.

It is disgusting, but thats what I think Holland will put out to get him back on our team. Hell Markov can peace on out of Detroit, hes s***ty, didn't really do a whole lot for the wings in my opinion. Schneider is a good D-man and excellent on the powerplay, we need him back on Detroit. I wouldn't want to give him that much money, but seeing what other high end Defensemen are getting, he will be right below that which is about 4 million.

Markov is big and physical. Schneider is 38 years old and he's getting slow. The money he's going to ask for would better be spent on someone else. We don't have to necessarily sign Markov instead of Schneider (I don't know how much money he wants), but we need someone like Markov who can be a physical presence. That was painfully obvious in the playoffs when it took us 2 minutes to get the puck out of our own zone against San Jose and Anaheim every time they brought it in.

I think most of these guys are going to want to come back to Detroit. The organization's tradition and the way they take care of players (besides the big money) makes them love this place.

If I have to make the choice between the big $$ and being in an original six contending for the Cup every year, I pick Detroit. If I am young and could make a big payday (i.e. Marty Lapointe) I may bolt for the money.

Dom is back - - no doubt.

Schneids would be silly not to come back. They have to give him a raise, so $4 Mill sounds about right.

Bert wants to come back, we'll see how badly he wants to come back. I think we sign him for right around what Homer makes for 2 seasons with options and incentives.
