I could see this going down. Hell, the Wild has Backstrom locked down for several years. I think realistically Minnesota would be fine with Backstrom as their starter. This could actually be quite the smart move by the Wild.

Minnesota's top four forwards right now are Gaborik, Demitra, Rolston, and Parrish. Add in RFA Bouchard and Murray and you have:

Gaborik/Demitra/Murray

Rolston/Bouchard/Parrish

Or some variation of that. But there are three natural centers in those two lines..why would they need another?

I find Minnesota could use some speed. But i believe they could get a little better then Murray, especially if a team is desperately needing a goalie.
