DaWingsin071 4 Report post Posted June 26, 2007 Well I saw this and I know this comes from the jackass mouth, but according to our boy Eklund, Robin Regher may be on the move. http://www.hockeybuzz.com/blog.php?post_id=8226 I wonder what it would take to get the big man in Detroit? I feel if we can't sign Schneids which is looking like we wont be able to. I think he would be a great replacement. He's big, he hits, and he could do some damage on the PP. Let me know what you think. Again not saying it's gonna happen, just pure speculation.
Detroit # 1 Fan 2,204 Report post Posted June 26, 2007 I doubt Regehr would move. A couple of Eklunds other rumors Calder to Toronto e2 , and Todd White to Toronto e3 lol
Lou_Siffer 1 Report post Posted June 26, 2007 Please nobody say Lilja and a pick for Regehr.... Please nobody say Lilja and a pick for Regehr.... Please nobody say Lilja and a pick for Regehr.... (3 times is a charm, right?)
WingFanInStarLand 0 Report post Posted June 26, 2007 Honestly, there is absolutely no chance that Regehr ends up in Detroit this season...for even if Calgary decided to trade him, the type of players that the Wings would offer in return would not interest Sutter. His preference for rough and tumble North American players and our staple of small, European players would not make for an enticing deal. Nonetheless, this is the PERFECT player for our blueline. Screw Schneider and Markov, Regehr would bring more to the team and balance the bluelines skill emphasis with some nasty, responsible defensive play. Any team that trades for him will be lucky! I am not thrilled with some of the calls for the grittier defenseman that are FAs this season...Sutton and Sarich are pylons and undeserving of the attention of Holland. However, a truly gritty, nasty positionally smart defensive blueliner entering his prime....this is what we need. Let me reiterate we have no chance...but its fun to dream

Yzerfan1999 81 Report post Posted June 27, 2007 Maltby, Lilja, Lebda and a 7th rounder for Regehr. Toss Datsyuk in the mix and it would be a great deal.
Bartek 0 Report post Posted June 28, 2007 Wouldn't they be satisfied with Lilja alone? You know, he had decent playoffs..
FinRedWing 172 Report post Posted June 28, 2007 (edited) Wouldn't they be satisfied with Lilja alone? You know, he had decent playoffs.. Only the LGW'ers / Kenny think so. There are 29 GM's who wouldn't take him even for free. Apparently same "rule" applies with the likes of Kronwall & Maltby etc. But thank God they've been re-signed.
