It seamed like Dallas Drake was a consistent part of their production(or lack there of). All I know is, no way in hell I would ever wanna see Dallas Drake in the winged wheel ever again. The intention is to buy out Drake, and if no one picks him off waivers, he wil be bought out. However, St. Louis gains nothing by doing this. They will still be on the hook for his $1.1. I always thought he was a team player and probably one of the hardest hitters of the past 10 or so years. Why wouldn't we want the guy? Is his salary too much for what he brings? Does he no longer play a physical, hard hitting game? Is he a complete cheapshot artist? I seem to remember him getting in trouble for a couple of his high hits. Now you love him again... ...if the WIngs picked up Drake, they'd be picking up a leader, someone who isn't afraid to hit and someone who has a heart bigger than the St. Louis Arch.
