Not to get in a war here... but, Bert is more physical, and we only saw Bert play maybe 20 games ( dont want to do math)... and about 4 of those he was playing healthy. Shany is aging, and is slowing,He is not what we need. I personally dont see the positive in bringing in someone who plays a weaker style than one of our own UFA's.

I think we need to dip into the pool for a winger... no Huge name, just a solid winger in addition to Bert. We need to fill that hole that was there last season.

I hear ya... personally, I wouldn't take Shanahan OVER Bertuzzi, but if Bertuzzi was signed somewhere else, than Shanny is basically the only power forward left. So I suppose.

With only the slight little problem that Shanny hasn't been a power forward for a while now. Neither has Bertuzzi for that matter, but I give Todd the edge in ability to rekindle old magic considering he's not nearly as, well... old.
