Briere has a no movement clause? Isn't that where you can't even demote them? This guy is set for life. I fully expect him to get lazy, complacent, and drop off the map after next season.

yeah, thats what every kid who laces up the skates does... wait for a bigtime NHL contract and then slack off. These people love to play the game and love to compete. They will not slack just because they have a nice contract

Briere doesnt' deserve 10 million. Have the Flyers totally lost it?

Apparently now two of the top three highest paid players next seaosn are Flyers.... Briere at 10M... and Kimmo Timonen at 8 million... Thats right Timonen is making more than Lidstrom next season.

Why? The cap hit is a lot lower than 10M and that means that in the latter years of his contract hell be making significantly less than the cap hit which will be easier to buy him out or trade him if they need too.

Eklund has rafalski to detroit an e4

According to Spectors, Rafalski wants to go to a team where he can "win every night." Now that Schneider has gone with Anaheim, I wouldnt be surprised if hes looking seriously at Detroit.

Well, I undertsand that side of it, but he should've been raking in much smaller to begin with. The guy had one good season. Maybe it's just that I hate jumping on bandwagons, and that's what everyone seems to be doing with Briere.
