GiantRobot 0 Report post Posted July 2, 2007 No Sykora to detroit Im suprised Things are still happening at this time... Not still happening, but just being reported im guessing... Those Pens are going to be a scary team. Going to be? Hell, they already were, and they keep getting better. If Fleury can kick his game up one more notch, they will have a cup in 5 years. Yzerfan1999 81 Report post Posted July 2, 2007 If the Pens can add one more d-man, they are going to be scary good. Look for them to win the east next year.

Opie 308 Report post Posted July 2, 2007 Those Pens are going to be a scary team. It is so nice to see a team that was a perennial cellar dweller go out and make moves to support their young talent. This is two years in a row, IMO, that they have gone out and tried to improve their team and make them a cup contender. Not just a playoff contender. On the opposite end of the spectrum you have Washington, who has arguably the second best young player in the game (behind Crosby) and is doing nothing to help this man. In the end, Ovechkin will get a bad rep because he will ask out of Washington, and Crosby will probably sign a long term deal with the pens. Hopefully enough people realize it is the org not Ovechkin that needs a kick in the ballz. I know the avid hockey fan knows what a s***ty org the Caps are, but the casual fan is going to label Ovechkin as spoiled, and wanting more money, when in all actuallity he will want a shot at the cup! Friggin' caps. If you are not going to make an effort to make your team better (ie Caps, Preds, etc.) you should lose your draft position in the next draft and everyone else moves up as you pick last!!! StevieY9802 6 Report post Posted July 2, 2007 I like the signings. Sykora will help. Hes not the player he was back in his NJ days but will be helpful. And Sydor I thought would have retired a Dallas Star but a good addition there. Good in his own end and on the PP. Like Opie said nice to see this team go from nothing to something the rigtht way. Guest Agalloch Report post Posted July 2, 2007 I'll worry about the Penguins when they get a goalie and defensive core that doesn't suck. Oh, wait, they got Sydor. Damn, etch their names on the Cup, please.
