T.Low 1,011 Report post Posted October 19, 2007 Listening to the game form the NHL.com wxyt feed (I'm in Washington state, 60minutes south of the Vancouver Kanuckleheads) they made it sound like Osgood was making a lot of great saves. Then I watched the highlights on NHL.com and he was definitely quick as a cat in the clips I saw. Kronner's goal was great: intersepting the clear out lob with his glove hand and feeding himself the puck for a slapper. Sweet. There's more than a few Wing's fans here in the beer leagues. Can't wait till they spank the Kanuckleheads.

Zion 93 Report post Posted October 19, 2007 Good character win for the Wings. This was a huge game. These teams are likely to have more playoff series against each other. The Sharks are going to be sticking around for a while. Now if these teams can just beat the Ducks...
NeverForgetMac25 483 Report post Posted October 19, 2007 !!! We won?! Awesome!! Figures all the good games are on way late at night when I can't stay up to watch them. C'mon wingsgirl.....thin excuse. I know the Eastern time zone people have it worse than me (Green Bay, WI = Central Time Zone) but I went to bed at 12:30 last night and got up at 5:45. Monster and Rockstar energy drinks are your friends (and NFM's as well). As I said earlier, I was very impressed with the Wings play as this game progressed. You could tell they were completely outplayed the first 20 minutes, got better in the second period, and dominated the 3rd. Here's hoping they can keep up that type of play with a little better 1st period.
BlueMonk 102 Report post Posted October 19, 2007 This was a good win. 4 points in 3 games so far on the west coast road trip is very good. Downey sticking up for his teammates is very good. Zetterberg and Datsyuk are crazy good. Wow.

Nero 20 Report post Posted October 19, 2007 Hehe, I couldn't help but stay up until the game ended and even longer (6 AM) due to a tornado watch issued in my county. A few thoughts on the game: - Great to see different lines scoring.. I've seen quite a number of other people complaining about that. - The start of the game looked like it was going to be a repeat of Monday's game (two penalties to Detroit while two obvious penalties to the Sharks go uncalled, one being a Drake interference which put him out of the game) See you all Saturday. What do you mean by "other *lines* scoring"? Z and Dats both netted one. Kronwall made another on a failed clearing (BTW Nicely done, Kronwall) and the goal from Ellis was pretty much a fluke. I know it can be a good idea to throw the puck at the net because you never know what can happen, but aside from that goal, none of the none ZDH offensive players contributed on the *scoreboard*. auxlepli 17 Report post Posted October 20, 2007 I was unable to watch or hear the game last night. Was McLaren's hit on Drake what provoked Downey to rough it up with McLaren? Also, did McLaren's hit on Drake warrant a penalty IYO? From what I can tell on the Game Summary page, it didn't. I can't imagine the refs missing a call like this when the refs are supposed to be cracking down on hits that could possibly fracture a player's cheek bone. Or was it just one of those freaky hits like Lemieux's on Draper?
