wingnut40 176 Report post Posted October 24, 2007 (edited) When he 1st got injuried he said it didtn't feel that bad, and then he's off the roster. Later after his MRI he'd be out about 2 weeks. And now the Red Wings website says he'll be out even longer. ".Grigorenko’s call-up to Detroit was made possible by the delay in the return of Johan Franzen (knee) to the line-up, which won’t likely occur before the end of the month." I guess it's good that Grigorenko gets to play, but I'd rather have Franzen who's a bigger body and a slightly better shot. hockey&beer 16 Report post Posted October 24, 2007 According to the article I read Tuesday (TSN.com maybe) Franzen will continue to skate light workouts with the team for another week and then kick things back up to full speed. If I was to take a guess probably should see him back after next weekend.

WhiteLightning91 105 Report post Posted October 24, 2007 No reason to hurry Franzen back. This is the end of October, not March. The last they need is to rush back Franzen. If he needs an extra week, go ahead. Its not worth the risk. The knee is a body part that you cannot rush. One tweak and you could be done. When Franzen is ready to go he is going to need to jump right in. We need to split up Datsyuk and Zetterberg in order to get some balance scoring, and the Franzen/Datsyuk/Holmstrom line is going to need a couple games to find their chemistry again, as well as Hudler/Zetterberg/Samuelsson
Detroit # 1 Fan 2,204 Report post Posted October 24, 2007 If Zetterberg and Datsyuk get split up, he'll fall out of the scoring league in about 3 games.
WhiteLightning91 105 Report post Posted October 25, 2007 If Zetterberg and Datsyuk get split up, he'll fall out of the scoring league in about 3 games. Zetterberg had 5 points in the 2 games him and Datsyuk were plit up. He was doing fine. They still spend a lot of time together on the PP.
