interminded 1 Report post Posted November 5, 2007 This guy really amazes me. Last two seasons he showed he had all the potential of being a really god goaltender, but sometimes he was just horrible (Yes, I know he was playing for Columbus.. ), hence the rise of Frederik Norrena. Somehow he found his groove and is stellar in net for the Blue Jackets this season. The dude has 5 shutouts in 9 games, sporting a very nice .960 sv%. Of course he (and the Jackets) will not be able to maintain this pace. But let's say, he would manage to have another 5 shutouts during the course of, let's say 60 games, then he would have 10 shutouts. Not bad . Or is he another Brian Boucher ? A few moments of stardom and then fade into obscurity ? I hope not.
BeeRYCE 2 Report post Posted November 5, 2007 Nah, this guy could be the turning point of the franchise. He was drafted 8th overall for a reason. The question I think about is, who will be better... Carey Price or Pascal Leclaire, because these two goalies are the goalies of the future.

Echolalia 2,961 Report post Posted November 5, 2007 As long as he keeps getting those shutouts for my fantasy team I'm happy. What a steal this guy was.
FinRedWing 172 Report post Posted November 5, 2007 I doubt he'll lose his form like Boucher after a few shutouts. He could be another Jim Carey though,he's certainly on his way to winning the Vezina.

The reason they got Norenna, really, was because Pascal had some injury problems last season. And then Norenna played pretty well so it made for a bit of a controversy over who would start. I didn't know Pascal would be playing this well but when it came time to draft for fantasy hockey, I knew somebody would take Norenna before Leclair and that he'd slip threw the cracks. Which he did!! YIPPEE!!! Seriously, though, it was pretty clear prior to the preseason that Leclair was the future and was going to be given every chance to reclaim the #1, which he has. Detroit # 1 Fan 2,204 Report post Posted November 5, 2007 He's always had talent, just very injury prone. I see at least 8 SO's this season and around 30 wins. I dont know if there going to make the playoffs, but it isnt crazy to say they could.
