Third Man In 2,091 Report post Posted November 8, 2007 I suppose that is a borderline acceptable answer if I hadn't payed $150 for that system, but whats a Wings fan in Rochester, NY to do...Oh woe is the life in Western NY. Woe, too, is the life in Southern California. First wildfires, now no Red Wings? Bad things come in threes--what could be next? Governor Conan the Barbarian? puckloo39 5,686 Report post Posted November 8, 2007 For all you TWC customers (myself included) - NHL Network is being picked up by TWC but only a few markets at a time. Austin folks, and I know there are a few here, Dallas has it and we'll be getting it eventually. They can't say when, but they said we will be getting it. Now, I don't know if they were just saying that to placate me as I called them very pissed off that I'm paying $170 to watch games and I can't watch the games I want to watch, but who knows. include me in that, RI. I called them today, and the customer service reps I talked to didn't have a clue what I was trying to ask them. I figured when I got home the game would be on NHLNet - which doesn't exist if you ask an Austin TWC rep. I wonder if they are only blacking out Red Wings games, or what? $170 down the drain, if so. I am going to ask for a refund, and see if I get anywhere...

puckloo39 5,686 Report post Posted November 8, 2007 ******* HELL! I go 7 days of no Red WIngs and then my 150 dollar NHL Center Ice Online has the Wings Blacked out. This has been a s***ty week. Alright boys and girls. I just got off the phone with Center Ice Online and "Its just a glitch in the system honey. We already have our IT guys working on it and we are trying to get you in before the game starts." I suppose that is a borderline acceptable answer if I hadn't payed $150 for that system, but whats a Wings fan in Rochester, NY to do...Oh woe is the life in Western NY. um.. I don't think it's your techs, hon. The cable system decides who gets screwed and who doesn't with this NHL Net (which doesn't exist if you ask my local reps here in Austin). I just want to know if it's always going to be the Wings blacked out, and if so, I am going to cancel - or sue TWC.
JoePuckster 4 Report post Posted November 8, 2007 This is total bulls***. I pay $140 for NHL Center Ice so I can watch all of the games, and then I don't get this game because it is on Gary Bettman's wet dream channel the NHL Network?!!! Makes no sense at all, and I'm totally getting ripped off. Gary Bettman is killing this league with his stupid TV contracts or lack of, and new ideas which are only ruining the league... you can't even watch this game if you pay to!!! Notch this as one more f up by Gary Bettman and co. http://www.FireBettman.com

The lady said it was technical difficulties, and the game isn't supposed to be blacked out. At least online it doesn't have to do with the NHL Network. SFwingsfan 23 Report post Posted November 8, 2007 (edited) The NHL Network (Comcast channel 419 in the Bay Area) just turned the feed on. We missed the first 5 minutes of the first period. Very very odd TV situation today. (2 minutes later) OK that was just a "live look" in. I guess we don't get to watch the game. What the hell is going on???? I have CenterIce and the NHL network and i'm not seeing this game. How can they advertise the last week that "viewers in the United States will see the Red Wings/Predators on the NHL network" and then they show us like 2-3 min clips of game cut in with other game highlights. This is just so sad. I almost feel bad for the NHL.....what a mess. Edited November 8, 2007 by SFwingsfan

Guest Shoreline Report post Posted November 8, 2007 (edited) And for some reason the NHL Network is going to TSN's Philly/Pittsburgh broadcast.. .. wow and what a Malone/Crosby goal on the rush.. .. but I still want to see my Wings. I hope they cut away for the commercial. Now they're back to NHL On the Fly.. Wings were on the Power Play.. Edited November 8, 2007 by Shoreline

aflac9262 211 Report post Posted November 8, 2007 (edited) Why didn't they just blow the whistle as soon as the net was dislodged, and put the faceoff in the Nashville zone, rather than just waste time, and more importantly tick seconds off the Detroit power play only to blow the whistle later? 1-0 Wings.
