Guest GordieSid&Ted Report post Posted November 8, 2007 So there's no Wings game on Center Ice. I check things out, find out its on the new NHL network channel. I watch the game. Then I proceed to watch hours of hockey highlights. Its like my very own Sportscenter, only better because its nothing but hockey. Its....its as if some higher being has finally answered my prayers. You'll have to excuse me now....I need a moment to go cry these tears of joy.

Guest GordieSid&Ted Report post Posted November 8, 2007 What cable provider? I have DirecTV. I made a phone call and they explained to me that if you have Total Choice Plus packaging OR if you have the Center Ice package you automatically get the NHL network station (1 channel). I'm in the other room, its been nearly 3 hours since the WIngs game ended and I can still hear hockey highlights going on. Awww s***.....i'm crying agian. I'm sorry, its just so wonderful I just can't contain my emotions.
clutchngrab 12 Report post Posted November 8, 2007 (edited) Well you, Gary and DirectTV can all have a big coke party in bed - cause there are big chunks of the US on comcast that are screwed since apparently comcast did not get the memo. Rob the Badger 0 Report post Posted November 9, 2007 I have DISH as well. I am hoping that they catch up to the bandwagon so I can get the NHL channel too. I may have to contact my provider and see what the deal is. I'll post something if there is good news... or bad.

Well look on the bright side, at least they still show hockey highlights in the last 5 minutes of sportscenter.
Guest jaytan Report post Posted November 9, 2007 I don't appear to have it. Besides catching the last few minutes of whatever Rangers game they put on Versus on Monday afternoons, I haven't been able to watch a frickin' NHL game all season!

CenterIce 83 Report post Posted November 10, 2007 The goofy thing about it is that the NHL Network is from Versus, who is owned by Comcast. However, not all areas covered by Comcast have it. You would think they would be selling this thing up.
ChelisChick 174 Report post Posted November 10, 2007 The email reply I got from DISH said the following: Thank you for your email. We are currently offering NHL Network HD. We are excited to announce that at this time, we do have exclusive promotions available to our existing customers, which offer discounts on equipment and installation! Please contact our Customer Service Center at 1-800-333-3474. Some of the promotions do have expiration dates, so please call at your earliest convenience. So, that's all I know.
