I wondered the same thing. I kinda like him...

I love watching him betwen the boards. I've noticed they are getting more and more former players to do it. UIn BUffalo Rob Ray...aka one of the only Buffalo Sabres I have ever liked...does it. As an aside pointing out fairweather Sabre fandom. When my roommate started watching the Sabres last season (he is from Buffalo and never did in the past) I was watching a game and laughed my ass off when the Rob Ray segment was brought to you by the "Motorazr phone, and he didnt get it....AND I DONT EVEN LIKE THE SABRES BUT I KNEW....

ANYWAY...the point of all this was I like having the Murph there and he was one of my favorite '90's wings and hope he is back soon

surfer dude counts shots for the other team, I think. Each Red Wing shot is worth double value in the SOG count, because it's the Wings. And the reverse for the Wings goalies. Three shots and one gets counted.
