Seriously, will everyone just stfu up his ONE bad period where 2 of the 4 were on the god damn powerplay that he has NO chance on. Christ, if that was poor wittle Ozzie all you puck bunnies and morons would make every god damn excuse in the world except blaming him and you'd all be saying, "it's just one bad period, he'll shake it off".

I stick by the goalie I KNOW is the better one and has proven it TIME AND TIME again. Osgood is the BACKUP SO ******* DEAL WITH IT.

Eessh deep breathes buddy. Not everyone here is like that. Please don't bring Ozzie into it-some can appreciate both goalies for their own qualities. K? :P

YEAH we finally have the lead. :siren:

AMAZING! Let's see how many seconds we can hold onto the lead.

As Beezer noted, that was damn close to a check from behind, but the Hawks got away with plenty in the previous 3 games, so I call it even at worst.

GO WINGS!

I still stand by my Hasek comments. This is NOT the guy we wanted to have back. He needs to pull his head from his butt and decide if he is the Hasek of old or just old.

Later,

Jeff in Houston

Niether of those shots were Doms fault. The Hawks are so f***y terrible and lucky, 6 total shots 2 ******* flukey goals. I hate them more then ever so far this season.

The second was a lucky bounce, but the first was no luck, just s***ty play by the Wings. Regardless, Dom really should have had them. I'm a Dom fan, and I'm not saying it's his fault, but still. Maybe he should work on closing his legs a bit quicker. :P

Awesome play from pavel and Z.

Yes, I know that's not everyone. But I've been around the boards to know who they are. I like Osgood, I am THRILLED he has done so well, I would never want him to do bad because he's still a Red Wing and I want my team to win. But I can not fathom the people who think just because he has a good couple of weeks while Dom is on the mend and wasn't even on the ice for over a week then gets to play one game every 4 or 5 days they can honestly tell me Osgood should be our starter and that's he "so much" better than Hasek.

One off-season doesn't turn Hasek into a horrible goalie. He put up amazing numbers last year and in the Playoffs, it's a tragedy we didn't win the Cup after the run he put up. I WANT Hasek to PLAY games and get work during them. Facing 15 shots a ******* game is not WORK and can totally F up a goalies mental game. You put Loungo or Broduer on our team this season in the same games Dom played in, and I guarantee you their numbers are about the same. Why is it when we play Ozzie he faces around 25 shots a game, but when Dom plays he faces 15? That's just messed up.

Like mess'n with the fro...Hasek's gotta go! I can't believe his record tonight...even Mickey was picking on him. That was classic, "That's ok, they aren't shorthanded!" when the Hawks were threatning at the end on the 2nd. Mickey and Ken good a good laugh out of that! Oh well, nice game so far guys!

I honestly think it might be because, right now, the defense trusts Ozzie to make the save more than Dom.

Which in and of itself is bizarre, because I think it was the exact opposite last year (defense more trusting of Dom than Ozzie).

Thank you for venting nicely. I too feel your frustration at times. I love Ozzie-he's my goalie and I hate it when he doesn't play. I figure Dom is better agains some teams and Ozzie is better at the others. So it's nothing personal if one plays and the other doesn't. Plus sometimes, like yoiu said, they have an off season. They're humans after all.

Although I'd check the Hawks goalies right now. ;)

You can't blame Hasek for those two goals damn near for the most part were breakaways.

So what your saying is...when a goalie is one on one with someone it isn't the goalie's fault he gets scored on. Come on. The first short handed goal was a developing play from the other side of center. When he got past Ralphi, Hasek should have been set. Same on the second short handed goal. If it isn't the goalies fault who's is it? Especially when it is a developing play from the other side of the center. I guess I can give you the second goal, but the first goal he should have had.

No, but old age can. I agree with harold--it is something to worry about, but again I think Dom would have a far better chance if he were actually you know FACING SHOTS FROM THEM OTHER GUYS and whatnot.

It's not at critical implosion mode yet, but Dom -is- a wildcard -- we all know that -- so, we'll see. Anyway how sick was that play by Dats? And Z? Crush the guy in the corner, pass out front, Eurotwins pwn Khabibulin!

Not that I want to be picky Wings but an insurance goal or 12 would be nice sometime soon. :)
