Great work by the rest of the team tonight. Some guys like Rafalski continue to piss me off with blunderous giveaways, but other than that, solid game tonight. Datsyuk played great. :)

I wonder how long we will hear the excuse that he’s still fitting into our system. Whether than be the case or not, he’s got to cut down on these careless giveaways.

As for Datsyuk, simply incredible!

Why yes. Yes he did. :hehe:

He didnt look that great. He's just lucky he got the 5 goals from our boys. Or else we would have been screwed. Ozzie is still just a decent goalie. Hasek will be the guy in the playoffs. Babcock has already stated that. And why? Cause Ozzie will just choke again. Sad but true.

Hudler needs to shut his mouth and stop f***ing around with the big boys. Who does he think he is anyways? While I admit, Phaneuf was getting excessive at one point, but it's still part of the game, and Hudler was being a little ***** the whole game. He kinda got what he deserved on that. But hey: his play on that part got Lilja to drop the gloves again, so that's fine with me. ;)

I don't see anything wrong with what Huds did tonight. Dion went after him first late in the first period with a shove, and then Huds stuck up for himself and shoved him back. He shouldn't have to back down or not say anything back due to Phaneuf being the stronger, and bigger guy. If anything we should see it as a good thing because little Rex, while being very small and fragile, is a tough cookie.

Hehe... I was in utter shock at what I saw tonight. Lilja fighting. :D

I knew something was off when they showed the knitting lady and she wasnt knitting. Clearly she forgot her needle and thread this evening and wasnt able to sew his gloves to his jersey tonight. They probably just fell off by accident and Lilja was like "oh s***!" im stuck now! ;)

Great game. Datsyuk is tha man.

Phooneuf's hit was way late. Lilja gets A+ for guts, C- for fighting skillz.

He could use some boxing practice in the off-season.

Wings win by dominating one (2nd) period over a very motivated and physical Calgary team.

Osgood played well.

Now lets do something like this to Chicago, Nashville, and the rest of the Central division.

Riiight. Well thank God you're not the coach.

Fine then. If he's going to do that, he just better be prepared to face the consiquences.

Did you notice in the end I complimented him though? That's mostly because it got Lilja to fight. So, in all respect, it was a good thing. :P

Hehe, that's always a possibility when he's involved. :D

If by "way late" you mean "not late," then yes, you are right.

Yeah well you can talk about the playoffs all you want, but the fact of the matter is right now Osgood is pretty much the #1 goalie. He's been great since the season started, and he's getting the wins. Who's going to play come April is pretty irrevelant right now.

No, I do mean that Phaneuf hit was late. Usually, you get about half-second to hit a guy after he gives up the puck. Hudler passed the puck off almost a second before he got hit. Ergo, late hit.

I respectfully disagree.

I respectfully disagree.

I am going to have to agree with izzy that it was not a late hit, although there is a questionable part of the hit, and thats not the timing, but rather that it seems he left his feet to hit hudler, which is usually a no no

"Today, I'm not feeling energetic," he said. "Today, I went strong (to the net), not more dancing."

When told what Datsyuk said, Lidstrom said: "I'd like to see what he could do when he's feeling good then. He's amazing out there."

 oh s***!

I was yelling "DON'T go down. DON'T GO DOWN LILJA!" when the fight started. I knew it'd end fast with someone losing their balance. But you hope, you know.

It's only been a couple months since my last trip to the Joe... but my God, how barren that place looks. The lower bowl--stripped. The loudest it was was after the game was in hand and the Jumbotron was flashing the usual "MAAAAAKE SOME NOOOIIIIISSE!!!"

The seats may be sold, but it just looks so bad. It was a good game though!

It was a good game. I am not going to bash at all just say that it is yet another game from Ozzy where he let in 2-3 goals. Good thing the offense was on. I quit the war from Ozzy and Dom and just go with the fact that both goalies need improvement. Unless our offense operates with high success every game. I love Dom, I love Ozzy but if this is the performance we can expect then looks like we may need to buy a goalie at the trade deadline.

Holland was asked if playoffs started tomorrow who would be the #1 goalie. He said Ozzy. (that should light a fire under Hasek's ass)

Holland went on to say that fortunately playoffs are long enough away for Dom to get it together. (paraphrased)

Hudler doesn't expect any special treatment out there. Hell, half the time in scrums around the net hes the only Wing who's doing any serious pushing or shoving. He fully expects to get his ass beat and he just keeps trucking and not taking any s*** from anyone which is why he is awesome.

And if Lilja took his lumps Lou he probably would just get coal from St. Nick! He would've changed stations in disgust, Claus is just like you with hockey and fighting, he's got a (badabump) onetrack mind!

Ok, mwahahaha, sorry sir. Imitation is the highest form of flattery and often done badly, do carry on. :hehe:

Most Badass Quote Of The Night.

If saying that someone fully expecting to get pounded can be... badass.

When you're 5'9 (on a good day) and standing up to Dion? Yeah. That's badass.

It's real easy to act tough when you're 6'4, 240 lbs.
