Lou_Siffer 1 Report post Posted December 6, 2007 Amazing how a guy can put up points in several consecutive games, and all of a sudden he's given unrealistic predictions by Wings fans. I think you have to be in the top 10 in scoring now as a defenseman to put up 50 points. Like Hudler being a potential 50 goal scorer! People here can be so over the top unrealistic after a guy scores a couple goals. I happen to like Kronwall....as potentially a very good 3rd defensman, which is just what he's making money wise at 3 mill. Everyone calling for an insane amount of points out of the guy and saying he's supposed to be Nick Jr. are out of their minds. He'll be fine. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

I remember someone posting a 50 goal for Hudler over and under forum... but I don't remember anyone saying over. Even the poster himself. The fact the thread was even brought up is ridiculous enough...and some were actually buying into the thought even if they didnt fully agree it would happen. Most people were ready to go over to his house and pack up the kitchen for him. Heck, half the people around here had U-Haul on speed dial. Now he's doing fine. He's no Lidstrom, but then there's only one of those, and we already have him. I do believe that he is a perfectly good player and will only get better. Yeah, he has had injuries. Get your skate caught in a rut or someone's skate caught on your face and see how good you feel. Is this his year? We'll see. It may be, and he may have many more good ones to follow. I just hope if it happens, that it happens in Detroit. Oh, and by the way. Don't get me wrong I'd love to see this happen, I like the kid, I think he has a lot of potential, and I think the ripping on him every now and again is pretty idiotic. 40-50 is reaching a little bit too much out of the realistic box though, in my opinion. I love this. Hes got 25 points now, and with 32 games left, all he has to do is tag 15 points to hit 40. I called that this kid would have his breakout year this season, but everyone was too convinced hed take the zamboni out for a joy ride, crash the thing, and be out of hockey for 10 months.
