Smoething Ken Kal and Mickey brought up

Mickey and Ken Kal were discussing all the home games the Predators have played thus far (10 or more) the opponent played a game the night before , and had to travel to Nashville and play a game the next night. Detroit was one of them, and they do it again Monday, but a large majority of their games vs the Pretenders have been on the back end of a 2 game in 2 night part of the schedule. Nothing new where Detroit is concerned. Just another perk the Predators get from the league eh?

We all know Nashville is Bettass baby. Won't sell it to someone who will move the team, give them the best opportunity to meet their attend. The more they win, the more people show. What I find funny is more of the road team fans are more likely to go on a weekend. So when they have other teams close to them in hours on the weekends, and the futher away teams on the weekdays, then it will be sure they get the best schedule.

Wow, I never knew that....What a total crock. I could see having that advantage sometimes. But not that much!

Seriously. I dislike Bettman as much as the next guy, but some of the things he gets blamed for are quite ridiculous.

You mean he didn't cause global warming? And he didn't invent cancer? You learn something new every day.

Its the same on the west coast trips with Anaheim and LA or San Jose. One of those teams almost alwasy gets a team traveling thru California and playing games back to back.

Mickey and Ken Kal

I just realized you said Ken Kal. It's Mickey Redmond and Ken Daniels. Ken Kal hasn't been in that seat for awhile now.

You guys do realize Bettman has as much say in who plays who on what day as I do, right?

Do you honestly think its just coincedence ? I know in the Wings situation it happens far too often to just be by chance. If you look at the overall record between the two teams, its still lopsided in the Wings favor :D

Yes I said Kal, I meant Daniels, but this was mentioned tonight during the Wings vs Wild game.

whoa there, let's not let him off the hook for global warming just yet ... if things warm up sufficiently to eliminate all the outdoor rinks and such for our neighbors to the north then hockey's popularity and place in society could dimish to a level similar to what it is in ... oh ... maybe ... nashville? if he can eliminate all the good hockey markets, then every market becomes a good hockey market ... can you say parity! :hehe:
